Breathtaking views, watch sunrise from your very own balcony. Ours was corner room 208 - we stayed for two nights, relished the sunrise, and enjoyed the balcony the entire day, watching the light change minute by minute.
Clean and very spacious room. It’s not fancy and some have observed that the place is old, but it’s spotlessly clean and functional. Tea and coffee, hairdryer, toothbrushes, towels and breakfast provided. Functional hot shower and heated bed, great for winter nights.
Public bus stop (Shou-Ting) conveniently located at doorstep of the minsu. But the bus only runs once hourly, so catch it or wait. Owner-host dropped us off at the Cingjing Farm where we paid to enter and watched the sheep shearing performance at 10am. We also paid to walk downslope on the skywalk - not sheltered so u will need a good hat on a hot day! And downslope is much more enjoyable than upslope!
7/11 just a stone’s throw away from Sunnydale, so are some restaurants and the England Manor. Walk further in via the Manor to enjoy beautifully crafted cakes and coffee at Patisserie a la Montaigne.
We took out some dinner from 7/11 and the host helped us to microwave it up.
We are most grateful for the warm hospitality from owner-hosts over this Chinese New Year period.More
