Sunnydale is located near the heart of Qingjing - close to the action without being in the middle of it. This is especially important to me as I want to enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay. It is highly accessible within the area without the noise and touristy hustle. The 7-11 is just a 10 min walk up from the place. The local bus (note the limited number of trips each day) going both ways stop just outside.

My stay was 4 nights during late September, and apparently that is peak season there. On a good day, you can enjoy a full view of the mountains from your own balcony with a coffee. That was exactly why I came to relax, and that alone was worth the price.

The room itself is not lavish by any means, but is very spacious with a sofa and large coffee table meant for one to relax. The bed is comfortable, and the LCD TV could be larger, but was solid for watching a movie.

As with B&B's, a key component is the operator. Mr. Liu and the lady (sorry forgot your name!) was very hospitable and kindly provided rides up to the theme park Farm and the shopping area. They arranged for dinner at nearby restaurants and even treated us to dinner when we were late to find out that arrangements need to be made. So dinner arrangements need to be made early, noted. Naturally they gave good advice on where to go during our stay.

My only comment is that we were located at the top (2nd) floor at the far side. Without a lift in the facilities, we carried our luggage up. This may be a challenge to some less accessible and you may need help. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Alternatively, the pathway was set so that those less accessible can use the ground floor rooms.

For those going, I would suggest those visiting the Qingjing Farm (theme park) and have a nice walk down the hill to the Starbucks / burger joint. I would suggest skipping the paid sky walkway unless you're ready for extensive time in the sun. I would also suggest joining a local tour to see the stars and sunrise.

Stay overnight at the house on one of the colder period in feb. The rooms are clean, just may be a little too cold for our comfort (bed was heated though). Shower mixer was a little broke, setting could turn hot to freezing cold after on/off. Food was very homely, service was okay. Host drove us up to grassland to watch the sheep, but return trip is self arrange. Note that food serving timing is limited as the staff eats with us (well, homely). Will be back to stay here again on my future trip.
