Needed a cheap hotel for a daytime stay for a 16 hour layover between flights. Plus points, quiet and managed a few hours' sleep. 550 TWD taxi ride from airport, only took 20 minutes on a public holiday. Within walking distance of Hutou Park which was lovely with lots of families out enjoying themselves. That was a welcome oasis.
Negatives: had a strange smell, poor decor, sleezy with mirrors on the ceiling. Very faded, felt uncomfortable there so returned early to the airport.

It's basic and by no means beautiful. But it's quiet, toiletries provided are generous, and breakfast is included. At $550 cab fare from the airport, location-wise it's not that near, but it was the best option for a family with small children arriving in the middle of the night. Hotel was responsive to my queries by email.
Hotel situated a few minutes walk from the railway station. Room spacious and décor directly from the seventies and a bit faded. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good wifi connection. A few English TV channels. Breakfast – Taiwanese style, bread and spreads. 7 Eleven, a mini market, bakery and restaurants a few doors down from the hotel. Shopping malls, more restaurants, night market and bakeries etc near the railway station and surrounding areas. Very good at keeping in touch by email regarding my reservation and queries.
Stayed here for 2 nights as I need to go to nearby bridal shop for my wedding photography. The whole building is old and the room have a kind of smell. Breakfast was simple porridge with some local dish. Walking distance to convenience store. The staffs were friendly and helpful enough to give us information and help us to call the cab.
We stayed there only one night before our trip to Hong Kong. Staff very friendly. Clean and comfortable room. Good location. Price attractive. You must make your own arrangements to take a taxi. You can get it for 500 NT. Otherwise, the staff can help you, but will be a little more expensive. If you don't speak chinese, this is a good option.
Hotel is old, outdated, holes in the linen and rooms have a smoking-smell. But for the price of 25 USD you get a big room with a big bath. Fine for one night when you need to go to the aiport early. Airport taxi costs 500 TWD and takes about 20 minutes. A 7eleven supermarket is in the neighbourhood of the hotel.
