Unexpectedly comfortable and cosy! Location is just round the corner of Ximending; in the same building as Muzik hotel and opposite Wonstar.

Highly recommend it if you are doing budget travelling with a friend or your partner. Not recommended for big groups, families, or if you are particular about room sizes or toilet sizes or just the space in general.

A better idea to describe is if you open the room door, you can see the whole room immediately. This means the toilet, inside of the toilet, the whole bed & the cupboard. And if you hold a 28" size luggage etc, it's only sufficient to fit one and gives just enough room for you to walk and pack stuff.

Personally find it very homely and cosy as I'm the type that's less afraid in small rooms. Fuss free check in and out process, staff are friendly as locals are always are.

The only downside was the shower as it's there's no door which blocks the water from spilling onto the main toilet floor. Easily settled with towels on the floor but again, not for everybody. Basic amenities like wifi, toiletries and daily supply of water bottles are there, no safe for valuables safekeeping, which was a downside as well.

Overall a comfortable stay for us, enjoyed its cosiness as a couple! (:

This hotel is in a good location, just around the corner from Ximending shopping area. It seems like it takes up 2-3 floors of a tall multi-storey building. It is quite a walk from the Ximen train station, particularly if you are carrying luggage.

We booked this hotel because we were quite attracted to the slanting windows/ceilings over the bathrooms- an architectural feature of the building that is visible externally.

When we checked in, we were asked to put down a deposit of 100NTD for the room key! This had not been stated in our booking form. When queried further, the staff pointed to the card where it stated that a fee of 100NTD would be charged for a lost card. We pointed out that we had not been informed of it prior to our arrival and offered to pay the fee if we lost or damaged the card.

We were disappointed to find that the room was quite small for the price- as a frequent traveller to Taipei, there are other hotels where a similar price can get you a larger room, in an equally good location. With 2 people and 2 bags, we kept having to step over the bags when we tried to move around the room.

The noise insulation is quite poor. We were on the same floor (17) as the dormitory style rooms and we could hear talking and doors banging late into the night and early in the morning.

When we checked out early the next morning to head to the airport, we asked if it was possible for the staff to call us a taxi. They initially agreed but after several minutes, we were told that it was too early to call for a taxi! Fortunately we managed to flag one over nearby.

You may book a room or stay at their female only or coed dorm rooms. The beds are in an individual wooden compartments providing some privacy. Has good size lockers and can easily fit a mid size backpacks. It is also near a car park for those wanting to rent a car.

We're 5 people from thailand visit Taipei in September. This hotel surrounded by many local food shops, 2 convenient stores, famous Mala HotPot (try not to miss this) and another japanese food downstair. At night, there is a huge shopping steet called Ximending (a lot of things to do) in the range of walk. Hotel's facility and cleanliness are above my standard. Staff are friendly and willing to help.
