Excellent location
In the middle of the busy tourist area and still very quiet at night. Easy to find from the subway station.
Convinent stores nearby.
Place is clean and tidy.
Open balcony for the smokers.
Free self service beverages: green tea, coffee and others.
You are required to pay a key card deposit of NT$100 which is fair
A special key card is needed to access the sleeping area from the Ground floor.

The guest house is staying in center of Ximending, around shopping center, market, cinema. And beside good&worth buffee hotpot - Mala hotpot. Go walk 0,5km from Ximending station, great's location. Room is little small and some time have problem with elevator's card. The hot water system also has the problem of having to turn on for up to 5 minutes to start having hot water. But the plus point is the staff are very enthusiastic. They help me to check some locations, note the route, bus number and adress in China.
Please choose Deluxe type room! It's difference.

About a 10-minute walk from Xiamen MRT station, from exit 1, take Chengdu to Xining then several blocks till you see Hengdu, enter off Hengdu. I Play has a little sign out front, go in, take the elevation to the 12th floor (12F) reception. There is seating area with complimentary tea, coffee and little balcony where can enjoy the weather. If raining, there are loaner umbrellas near the elevators.

Our room was on the 11th floor, check in 3 pm, Rm 113, great view from the shower, one small slanted window in bedroom area. Very clean room, TV with 6 English Movie channels, free fast Wi-Fi, AC, small fridge, queen bed, large firm pillows (2 each) phone, clock, tissue paper, 2 night stands, tea/coffee/kettle, shower, towels, toothbrushes, razor, hair dryer, body wash, shmpoo dispenser in shower. The shower head is up against the curtain so never used it in the holder. No chair or table in room so if need that, need to go to reception. The rooms look like the pictures, either new or recently renovated.

The walls are a bit thin and can easily hear everybody rummaging around in their luggage outside the room (dorm room lockers outside the door) but a pair of earplugs can fix that problem easy enough.

There are many restaurants, small food stalls and 7-11’s around so no problem finding breakfast (not included with room). The gentleman outside of 7-11 with the roti/egg wrap is good or around the corner good sandwiches & more. Overall, good little hotel amid shopping and food and would stay here again.

Room tip: 115 better windows and view than 113

Unexpectedly comfortable and cosy! Location is just round the corner of Ximending; in the same building as Muzik hotel and opposite Wonstar.

Highly recommend it if you are doing budget travelling with a friend or your partner. Not recommended for big groups, families, or if you are particular about room sizes or toilet sizes or just the space in general.

A better idea to describe is if you open the room door, you can see the whole room immediately. This means the toilet, inside of the toilet, the whole bed & the cupboard. And if you hold a 28" size luggage etc, it's only sufficient to fit one and gives just enough room for you to walk and pack stuff.

Personally find it very homely and cosy as I'm the type that's less afraid in small rooms. Fuss free check in and out process, staff are friendly as locals are always are.

The only downside was the shower as it's there's no door which blocks the water from spilling onto the main toilet floor. Easily settled with towels on the floor but again, not for everybody. Basic amenities like wifi, toiletries and daily supply of water bottles are there, no safe for valuables safekeeping, which was a downside as well.

Overall a comfortable stay for us, enjoyed its cosiness as a couple! (:
