It is a nice hotel located quite secludedly on the countryside highlands near the Sun Moon Lake, the Wen Wu Temple and the Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village. The surroundings is cool and quiet with a good view of the mountains. Its decor is a little unusual with a giant steel winged-lion and statues of continental warriors in the compound.
The room is very clean with adequate amenities including hair dryer, electric kettle, wall-mounted TV, security box and small fridge provided. The bathroom has a glass shower cubicle. The bed is firm and comfortable. There are games and karaoke rooms on the ground floor. Breakfast is served from 6.30 a.m to 9.30 a.m. on the ground floor. The buffet spread is nothing to shout about but more than enough for a decent first meal of the day with freshly-cut fruits and vegetable salad offered.
There are no eating shops, convenience stores or pubs around the hotel, they are only found in a small town about a ten-minute-walk away. We had to walk along a deserted and dimly-lit road through a blue tunnel to get there.More
