Pros: spacious, comfortable beds, clean.
Cons: sound proofing is not very good, can hear the pipe water and people walking along the corridor, not very suitable for light sleepers
No breakfast. A bit "cold“ response from the counter too, not very friendly.

We had a nice, calm room. Everything was there, including some instant coffee and tea bags, everything is clean and well functioning. The design is funny and well funtional. It is no luxory, but you will miss nothing important, but don't expect a nice view. Some more hanger for towels and such things would make it perfect.

Room tip: The superior rooms are nicely spacy, though the bathroom

Stayed in family room 601 for 1 night

Room
1) spacious
2) beds were huge and comfortable (my 3 teenagers shared 1)
3) bathroom well-designed. Can have someone bathing and another using basin, without both seeing each other. Yet there are no doors separating both areas

Location
1) right in shopping street with wholesale supermarket nearby
2) many eateries to choose from- Tasty Restaurant and MOS Burger

Will stay here the next time when I visit Taoyuan

This is a budget hotel in a budget district that packs a lot of value for your money. It is unassuming and inexpensive, but not cheap. Its standard room is a no-frills small room with just enough room for a double bed. Its toilet and bath is relatively more spacious but not by much. It has the basic small refrigerator and a pot for heating water for the usual complimentary instant coffee and tea. It has a comfortable bed, a regular sized toilet and enogh shower space to allow you to spread your wings, so to speak. The front desk is a one-man show but the housekeeping is superb. The room is cleaned thoroughly and unobtrusivey (you don't get to see the housekeeper and her tools of the trade parked in the corridors). Language is no barrier because the one-man Front Desk Manager has a phone with a translator so he can translate short conversations with foreign guests. Certainly, you will not need any dining facilities because it is surrounded by street hawkers and street vendors. In fact, you will be faced with an embarrasment of choices.

Just keep in mind that Central Hotel is a budget hotel and if you moderate your expectations accordingly, you will enjoy your stay in this inexpensive, but certainly not cheap hotel.

The location is like 3 min from the zhungli train station, in the middle of a local market. The whole interior has been recently renovated I.e a real bathroom with a real wall and door. Room is a bit small but good enough for me (being a Hong Konger). AND it has a window, compare to the new trend in Taipei, it seems to be too luxury already.
