Good Location

I would like to say thank you for all staff that providing a very good service during I stayed in the hotel. The staff name Vicky, Rulby,Mina and all the staff I have not mentioned the name are very great and good service. All of them need to be promoted. The location of the hotel are in a good location and closing to the underground at Zhongshan station only 10 mins walk. I have a wonderful time here and will not forget all the service you have to us. The ammeneties in the rooms have a lots of selection. I stayed in the hotel room number 903 at the bath tube the hot water not working well. I hope to come back there again for next time and will recommend to my friend too. Thanks and see all you guys soon. I love Taipei

While we are delighted to read you enjoyed our very convenient location and you were pleased with the service from our staff, we do apologize for the challenge you experienced with the hot water in the bathroom.

Though different room, we did receive one similar feedback in the past from other customer about the hot water. Based on your review we could not identify what exactly the issue was, but we have had our maintenance staff look into the hot water supply and rule out all possible causes already. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention and giving us an opportunity to improve immediately. Customer satisfaction has always been our top priority, our front desk is staffed 24 hours a day with staff eager to help in any way they can. If there is anything seems not functioning well in your room or you have any concerns about the room facilities, please feel free to let us know.

Service par Excellence

The hotel and its staff deserve all the appreciation and kudos for maintaining a high level of service excellence. From check-in to check-out the attention to detail and the courteous attitude of ensuring guest satisfaction is praise worthy. The hotel is well located in Zhongshan and is about 10 minutes walk to the metro station. Taxis are available at the doorstep and the ever friendly and willing-to-assist concierge will ensure that you are comfortably seated and the driver informed precisely about your destination. The hotel is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group and it lives up to its classification by providing amenities and room furnishings and fittings that mirror a luxury hotel. The heated toilet seat, electronically controlled toilet, sunken bath area, rain shower with good pressured water and spotlessly clean linen are worth a mention. Beds are comfortable and the room temperature can be maintained to your liking. Room insulation was very good as there was no sound despite the fact that we had a street facing room. Vicki and her co-workers helped organize our trips to the museum, Chiang Kai Shek memorial, Juifen, Shifen and Yehliu Geopark all of which are well worth visiting.

The hotel is in close proximity to bars and there are several good restaurants within a short walking distance that offer a wide range of menus to whet your appetite. Breakfast at the hotel is very good and has an adequate choice of western and far eastern food. Staying at San Want Residences was a pleasure. We shall return someday.

Great service and nice hotel

The best part of San Want is the service. They are always very helpful. On our visit, Vicki was so helpful with transportation and dining questions, and Allen was also helpful with planning.

This hotel is located fairly close to the main Taipei train station (~10 min cab ride) which is great if you are going to explore other parts of Taiwan. While the rooms aren't brand new, they are cleaned and maintained well. The hotel breakfast is convenient, but it's not as good as venturing out for some authentic Taiwanese breakfast food.

I can’t agree with you more that it is the young Ladies and Gentlemen who work here make our hotel shine. We always aim to provide our guests with the most refined services, your recognition is the best reward for us and we will keep on delivering highest calibre of services to deserve such high praise.

Taiwan is well known for its local cuisine. Though sandwiches and burgers are pretty popular nowadays, traditional Taiwanese breakfast such as egg crepes, pan-fried
noodles, rice balls, radish rice cakes, sesame pita breads, are still local people’ s all-time favorites and keep on gaining popularity overseas (thanks to the invention of the internet, it helps a lot introduce the beauty of Asian cultures to the whole world. ^_^).

We hope you did find your favorite Taiwanese breakfast during your stay and you had a great time in Taipei. We very much look forward to welcoming you back someday soon.

Friendly and helpful staff always make such a difference to a hotel stay, and that’s where San Want stands out. My friend and I felt welcome from the moment we stepped in until we checked out. The room was fine (if cozy) - Japanese toilets are always fun for western travelers 😊 Good location opposite Linsen Park, easy walk to the nearest metro line station. Good on-site gym too.

Only quibble is that there isn’t really a bar. You can buy drinks but they’re served in the breakfast/dining area, so you’re seated at a table to drink, which feels a bit too formal. A separate bar - ideally high up for city views - would’ve made this hotel perfect.

Still happy to give it 5 stars anyway, just for the professionalism and hospitality of the staff.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel.

We are delighted to read that you were generally happy with your stay and felt welcome while you were here.

Unlike other bigger hotels in this area, you are correct that we do not really have a place where only functions as a bar, which is primarily due to limited space. Our hotel is a boutique hotel with only 81 rooms, we combined three facilities- lounge, restaurant and bar into one so that our multifunctional dining lounge can serve not only breakfast, but also lunch, dinner and alcoholic beverages. It would be really nice to have a bar from where customers get to overlook the beautiful park or enjoy the night view of the city, but at this point we are not able to add any new facility to the existing ones as we really have no place for it.

Excellent, comfortable stay

Stayed here for two nights (over weekend) just before the new year. While the stay was fairly pricy, we were really happy with our stay. The location of the hotel was quite convenient (a few subway stations within walking distance). The room was spacious and very comfortable. The décor was very modern, clean and chic. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was of good size and very well designed. The Wifi in the room worked quite well. The room rate came with breakfast, which was really more of a generous buffet brunch. In addition to typical breakfast food, there were always a number of hot meat dishes/salad/soup, etc. We took advantage of that everyday before heading out. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Overall, a great experience.

As the Year-End and New Year holidays have the highest demand for rooms, room rate during this period of time could be higher than usual. We are so relieved that even though you found the room pricey, you were pleased with our service and overall you enjoyed your stay with us.

Thank you also for mentioning our breakfast buffet. We have just added a few items such as crispy bacon and some sweet stuff to the breakfast recently. We also offer a la carte items such as omelette, fried eggs and noodle soup. We hope you will stay with us again next time you visit Taipei and let us know if there is anything else we can do to make our breakfast even more enjoyable.
