One of the best museums I ‘ve ever visited. Families with kids are suitable to visit this museum, due to the theme of the museum , the display which told us about development of Taiwan and how Taiwan place himself in the world community.

One ticket two museums. This museum and the science museum across the street are accessible on one ticket. Currently a fascinating exhibit on diatomes and other small single cell structures. Quite beautiful. top floor has an excellent exhibit on indigenous peoples and native animals and flora. Worth a visit for sure. Can be done in 1 hour or less and right next to the peace park.

Though the 2nd floor section is under renewal, we enjoyed the fossil coverage on the 1st floor, architecture feature at the 2nd floor corridor as the Taiwan aboriginal feature on the 3rd floor. The cheap NT 30 entrance fee also allows admission to the land museum across the road housing an impressively dinosaur displays. Remember to visit the peace park behind the museum to see locals enjoying the park and children at the playground area. Check out the dumpling and chinese pastry eateries across the road from the west entrance of the park.

I thought this museum was so cool! I especially loved the exhibits on indigenous peoples. I definitely recommend this museum if you are interested in science and history.

It costs $1 USD and is currently being renovated, there are still some very interesting exhibits on the native Taiwanese, elephants, microfossils and the history of Taiwan and the founders of the ecological institutes in Taiwan.
