This was our second trip to Robertstown, but our first staying at the Holiday Village. What a great little find!!! Travelling with nine friends, Karen made sure each of the rooms (two cottages) were made up to single beds. Each cottage had everything you could possibly need and on arrival we were treated to homemade scones & jam, with milk in the fridge ready for a cup of tea. The shop 5 minutes away had everything you needed for a full self catering stay. The wifi was only available by reception but we coped perfectly fine with this and you have access to a room inside if it's raining. We used the Holiday Village as a base for Punchestown Races but it would be perfect for exploring the whole of Co. Kildare and further. Top tip: Check out Charlie Weld's pub for a perfect Guinness.

We stayed here for Punchestown races - about 30 minute drive away. Roberstown centre is a 5 minute stroll from the cottages and has two pubs, a nice cafe (good breakfast), convenience store and post office. We spent our time in Charlie Welds where we were made to feel very welcome. Location is in a peaceful spot by the canal which offers a nice walk. If you are looking for a quiet base from which to explore the surrounding area these cottages are ideal. They are clean, tidy and offer all you should need for a good value self-catering break.

The cottages are clean, large and beautifully furnished. The proximity to the cafe, restaurant, shop and pubs is perfect. This is a great stay if you'd like some peace and quiet, or a home point for day trips to all cities in Ireland.

Thank you Ranae for your kind review.
Yes Robertstown is ideally located for trips to Dublin, Kilkenny, Galway and Waterford. I have to say too that many travel further afield such as Cliffs of Moher and Cork from here too. We strive to provide clean and comfortable accommodation for our guests, I glad that you enjoyed your stay.
The local bars shop and cafe are just a gently 5 minute stroll and I think you told me it was the best Guinness you had tasted!
Hope to see you again very soon

A mini break to tie in with a friends wedding near by, the accommodation was very nice clean and comfortable, nice view with canal at bottom of garden, central to get any where from and a delightful coffee shop in village..

Thank you CPMALES for your kind review. I'm glad that you enjoyed the wedding and your stay with us here in Robertstown. I hope your mom and dad had fun too as they celebrated their anniversary.
The addition of the Café in the village is a huge asset for us and many of our guest love that they can have breakfast there, lunch or afternoon tea.
Hope to see you again soon.

This was not my first stay at Robertstown Holiday Village. I love returning to the area for its beauty and tranquillity. The cottages have been recently updated although I could not find fault with them durin my previous stays. Karen and company are alway extremely helpful with tips for local and more distant touring. The easy access to transportation routes makes this a great base for day trips while returning to the tranquility and friendliness of Robertstown. The new cafe in the village is just a 5 minute walk and I found it to have delicious offerings at a good value.
This is comfortable place as you will find away from home.

Thank you Philatraveller for your review. It is always our pleasure to welcome you and your family to stay here in Robertstown. I am glad you liked the refurbishments that we have carried out and appreciate your comment re same.
I know that you travelled a lot this time throughout Ireland and enjoyed the local hospitality too in Charlie Welds and Mullaney's. The addition of the Café here in the village great and since last May when it opened our guests have been enjoying the delights that it has to offer for Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks.
Again thank you for your review and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
