Second visit here and as lovely as ever. Facilities are as good as you could hope for. Granite work tops, wet room showers all in Marble, 2 Cyrus sound systems (one of which Im sure they heard in Rome when we cranked it up a bit) and a Bose system on TV in games/cinema room ( Pool table and table football too). Anyway you get the idea. I saw another review that said it was so nice they didnt explore as much around as they expected; same for us. However trips into Penne nice and the Campo is unbelievable. A week wasnt enough. Thanks!
We had an amazing week at this absolutely beautiful villa. The panoramic views of the mountains were breath taking. In the distance you could see the town of Penne and the lake. The villa itself was so well equipped that you couldn't ask for any more There was a very generous hamper on arrival with all that you would need for the first day or two. All the rooms were very light and spacious. The huge pool was a hit with the children (and husband) who spent the entire day in it or around it. There were plenty of sun loungers by the pool and the large canopy was great during the very hot days. Evenings sitting on the balcony and watching the stars and the lights of Penne in the distance was always the perfect end to each day. Thank you Stephen and Marion for being so helpful throughout and making some great recommendations.
A fabulous well equipped spacious villa with amazing views. A beautiful pool and pergola area bordered by lavender and oleander with a magnificent backdrop of the Gran Sasso mountains and local hilltop villages and even a glimpse of the sea. The villa is set in an unspoilt rural area with a lack of foreign tourists making visits to the nearby restaurants a more interesting experience mingling with the locals. A trip into the mountains is well worth it for even more spectacular scenery as is exploring the small villages with their narrow steep cobbled streets. And not to be missed is a visit to the seaside for a dip into the warm waters.
Casa del Colle is a wonderful relaxing place to spend a holiday with every detail catered for and owners who go beyond the call of duty to make your holiday the best. You cannot fail but to return home completely recharged.
We were two families of 5 (6 children between 4 and 10) who stayed in this amazing house. There was plenty of room for all of us and we used the beautiful and well maintained pool every day. The house is so spacious, modern, clean and well kept that it felt like we were at a resort. No other place came close after we left Penne, so I would recommend you end your trip at this place. We can't wait to book again!
This superb villa is set in beautiful hills 3 miles from Penne. The views are magnificent with snow capped mountains in two directions and hill top Penne looking East. It is quiet and off the main tourist track and gives a more authentic view of Italy at its best. Lovely warm Adriatic waters are within a 45min drive with lovely sandy beaches near to Pescara. The villa itself is superbly equipped with the best (14 metre) pool that I've experienced at villas on the continent. The villa has electric shutters over all windows and doors to help security and keeping the villa cool. Marble floors are throughout and we didn't even touch the games room with pool table and table football. The kitchen is very well equipped too with everything you will need and there is also basic foodstuffs there with herbs and some other staples. For a peaceful luxury retreat watching each morning and evening swifts, house martins and swallows as they dip into the swimming pool, it is unbeatable.
