Right next to Yokohama Station

The value here is very good!

If you hit the right timing, rooms can be low as $45-55/night. Same price as business hotels a stop or two away, but this IS IN YOKOHAMA and it's a lot nicer!

Quite spacious too. Opened up my luggage and it remains open because there's enough space.

Nothing to complain about. Comfortable bed, great view, great lighting, radio built into the cabinet, and they even play music in the hallway so you're not going to hear your neighbors... much.

Internet that's actually usable! 40mbps and stable. I'm watching a Youtube video as I type this.

I feel this hotel was once considered a very nice hotel (maybe in the 80s?). The decor and carpeting feels dated, but still nice.

Staff was very friendly and had great eye contact.
I was even given a free upgrade! Unheard of in Japan.

Listed as a 3 star hotel, but definitely not in the same class as the business hotels like APA, LiveMax, MyStays, etc. They have company events and weddings here.

They have a cafe and multiple restaurants in the hotel.

Location is right above the tip of Yokohama Station. You have to walk a bit, but you do this walk in the train station. You don't have to take any extra train/bus to get to Yokohama, you are there. There are stairs you need to take up from the train station to get to the hotel. I'd say about 25 steps, but I lugged my 50lb luggage up so you can too!

I loved that I can go downstairs into the train station at 8:30pm to buy up food on 40-50% sale before they closed.

If you're considering Sheraton Yokohama, this hotel is not in the same class, but it's only another 2-3 min walk.

The people were very helpful, just as we have found throughout Japan, unfortunately that was the only good point. Rooms very very small, very basic amenities, the worst breakfast buffet we have ever seen, the plastic tablecloths really summed the hotel up.
Would not stay there again even for free.

I booked the double bed. The room is extremely small, but thank God the bed is big. Seething between a queen and king. The toilet....petite. The hotel looks old too.

Location
From the map, it's very close to yokohama station. It's about 10-15 mind walk to the station. But locating the correct exit for the first time is a challenge.
Go to diamond. Take west exit 12.

For the price paid for that location, I think it's still ok.

shocked how small the room is, and didnt even sleep for the whole night , bed is extremely firm, its like lying in the floor although we were extremely tired. The next day, we ask to trsansfer to a different room as the room we had is really verysmall for 2 people, no drawers, no closet, so we basically just hung out clothes everywhere..crazy..wo we were given a better room, we paid extra of course, not big but better than the first one. The bed was still firm but better..anyways after 6 days my husband has some medical issues so we need to contact our insurance , I asked the receptionist to help me call outside Japan.. The english is very poor, at the end, they have not help me at all, they have no idea ..They dont know whats the area codes, country codes, to dial outside, no idea.. Glad, I texted my friend to call Allianz for me, so Allianz will call us.. receptionist is very poor in English communication.. Not staying there again.

Great location near Yokohama station (take south exit 12) but other than that the rooms are very old and tired. My room for 1 person had 2 bed stuffed into it and I couldn't even fit my normal sized suitcase between the bed and the wall. Potential language barrier issue, I speak Japanese so I didn't have a problem but if you are unfamiliar with checking into a hotel in Japan this can be an experience here. Not worth the price in my opinion, unless your looking to relive the 80's.

finding this hotel for the first time is a struggle.
even the JR station staff don't know where the south 12 exit is.
here is my experience, look for "dimond" basement shopping street, follow the street till the end, there is staircases and south 12 exist. if you have luggage, take the elevator beside. hotel is right next to the exit on the ground.
generally speeking, location is not bad. Yokohama station is so big, so pay special attention about the route and exit, after first time it should be easy to get to hotel.
another tip is, I found the single bed room is better and more spacious than double bed room in this hotel.
breakfast is way expensive, not recommended.
just for your reference.
