Falling in love with the Peninsula Tokyo

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Nov 2024via mobile
From the time you arrive to the time you depart, you’re special.

And this hotel (for the glitz and price) is located perfectly a few steps into Ginza. It’s not only how grand and modern and beautiful this hotel is. It’s the luxury and service and pamper that’s bespoke of the quality of the Peninsula chain.

The rooms are huge. I appreciate the upgrade to a Premier room, which meant, I was facing a beautiful view of the Imperial Garden each morning. But their standard room had a whole dressing room all to itself. The bath tub was divine.

The rooms are also full in terms of amenities. They didn’t scrimp! In reality, you didn’t even need to bring toiletries when you book at the Peninsula Tokyo. You just had to literally get checked in.

And the food was marvelous. I enjoyed most of all the Chinese restaurant Hei Fung Terrace. Fantastic dishes and service.

I can write about this hotel and try to find fault in some way, but I have never fallen in love with a hotel the same way the Tokyo Peninsula has made me feel.

I will definitely be back.

As one would expect with this hotel brand, the Tokyo location did not disappoint. The hotel is stunning, views are lovely, staff are beyond friendly and helpful, and the facilities are lovely. We booked with AmEx travel and got an incredible upgrade. We visited the pool daily, which was nice after walking around the city. Highly recommend going to the steam and sauna facilities - quite nice. The breakfast (incl. as with AmEx travel) was phenomenal.

We’d definitely will try to stay here again. The location was convenient (and there’s an entrance from Hibya station without needing to go to the street level?).

From the seamless check-in to the personalized recommendations for local spots, every moment was curated for comfort. The rooftop bar offered craft cocktails that were works of art in themselves, cddock to give it a miss!

Excellent service and well maintained rooms. Each member of the staff is courteous and efficient. Had a wonderful stay from my arrival until my departure. The hotel even prepared a birthday celebration for me in my room. Most efficient of the staff are always the bell service namely Nagamo and Yuta. Jhulyn of the front desk is also very well trained. The best bellhops on my trip were Nao and on my last day when I checked out, i was assisted superbly by Yuto with all my baggage.
