Bed was very hard and the roll out was softer than the regular bed. Entrance decor was beautiful. Average rooms. Since it was a holiday week spa opened late. I wish they had a print out of new hours in our language due to holiday.

Hyatt Regency was the first hotel in our 20 day Japan/Thailand holiday. After navigating the somewhat confusing Shinjuku Station the hotel was a lovely haven. The outside is a rather dull featureless cream brick but the foyer is spectacular with beautiful chandeliers and our room was sizeable (I’ll admit I wasn’t sure what size room japan would supply). We had the buffet breakfast included daily and the range was excellent. It is a bit of a walk back into the action of Shinjuku , which suited avid walkers like us, but may not be for everyone. 800m from Shinjuku station west entry.

Hotel is big and located near the subway. There are a minimart and many restaurants at the basement near the hotel. The location is quite far from shinjuku shopping area about 20-30 minutes by walk but the hotel provides free shuttle bus. Room is quite small but functional and the bed is comfy. Breakfast and pre dinner at executive lounge is nice.

Stayed fir 5 nights on vacation. The room we had had a view of the park. The hotel staff was extremely efficient and helpful. The shuttle to Shinjuku ran ever 20 min and gave you many options for transport, food, and shopping. Room was efficient and worked well for its size.

Pool and hot tub on the top floor was enjoyable and nice. Highly recommended.

The food in the hotel was expensive, but so is all of Tokyo. $40 US for a room service hamburger is over the top for me. Lots of restaurants within a block or two. Denny’s provides a reasonable option right across the street from back of hotel.

I revisit the Hyatt Regency hotel on 25-27 April 2018, during my recent business trip there, the staff is very friendly and helpful as usual. I enjoy staying in this hotel because of the great location, very convenient to be reach via Airport limousine bus, as it stopped right in front of the hotel. Plus with lots of restaurant nearby and Shinjuku JR train station is just 10~25 min by walking....

Room Tip: If you are looking for more space, ask for a corner room...
