Didn’t really do much shopping. But the food market is amazing. Can find all sorts of little bites. There’s also a rooftop garden where u can hang and eat everything u bought at the market. It’s got a great view of the city.

Think Harrods in Tokyo. If you love food, this food court is not only beautiful but full of really delicious food from sweets to sushi to dumplings. The one down side is that you cannot eat there, you must take the food away. We bought food for lunch and also some teak to take as gifts. The packaging and presentation, like many places in Japan, is beautiful

This department store is massive! They have most of the premium and high-end brands within their 3 buildings (yes, that's the size of the store), even though some of them have their own boutiques elsewhere.
It was such an eye-opener and really convenient to shop in.
The only downside was the tax refund. The queue was really long and they charged administrative fees for their service (this mean you do not get back the full tax refund). Some places do not charge fees, while other department stores I visited charged lesser.

Isetan is a beautiful department store with a staff which is helpful and welcoming. We especially enjoy purchasing delicious prepared food from the extensive basement "food court" and enjoying it on the 8th floor deck where beverages are also available for purchase.

Tokyo department stores have incredible food courts with a wide variety of delectable, personal size packages. Isetan has a roof garden on the 8th floor where you can enjoy your selections. There are restaurants in the building, but this was an exceptional find that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our first-time visitor companions enjoyed the break from all the shopping and sharing the varieties of food we tried. And it is open air, so it offers fresh air and a bit of a view.
