Stayed in this hotel in May 2011 when it was only 2 months after the disastrous earthquake that happened to Japan. Couldn't locate the hotel because external lightings of buildings are switched off to conserve energy. Managed to find the hotel with the help of a friendly passerby.

Very convenient hotel, only a 7min walk from Shinjuku railway station (although tucked in along a relatively quiet road), and only a 2min walk to a convenient store. Takashimaya is just a 10min walk, passing by a Krispy Kreme where you can have nice donuts for breakfast.

Stayed in a double room with my sister. There is barely space for the 2 of us to place our luggage wide open beside the queen sized bed, but very clean room

Room Tip: Convenient but quiet area of Shinjuku

The Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku is a very nice place to stay when visiting Tokyo specially the Shinjuku area. The hotel location is ideally situated at a walking distance to Shinjuku station. The hotel is very clean and have a nice and quiet environment. However, I found the room to be less spacious when compared to hotels at other places of the world. The restaurant is excellent and had some dishes in the breakfast that Muslims can eat.

Room Tip: It is highly advisable that people with wheel chair or having some disability that would require assistance during walking, must go for the special rooms for the disabled people because they may have more space than the regular ones.

Me & Misses stay at Sunroute Plaza for two nights. The hotel's reception are nice and ready for numbers of guest - no long queue.
We selected economy room for two, small room but still okay. Clean room as any other Japanese hotel. The bathroom has everything that I needed: shampoo, body wash, new scissors etc. They will thoroughly clean the room everyday. The minor flaws about the room is that there were no view, not only from our room because the surrounding building will block the view.
Breakfast menu are great, for us.
Walking to Shinjuku station only about five minutes, I prefer the pathway to Starbuck as it will take us directly to the bridge over at the station shops.

Have stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Location is brilliant as it is served by airport limousine from both Haneda & Narita airport. Just next to the hotel is a subway station which brings you to Roppongi in 6 minutes! JR station Shinjuku is also within 5-10 minutes walk (use exit to southern terrace). So, if you do not take the bus, can take the Narita Express from Narita to Shinjuku or the tokyo Monorail from Haneda Airport (switch at Hamamatsucho to Oedo Line). Though right in busy Shinjuku, the hotel is relatively quiet, hence offers a good night's rest. Opposite the hotel is a 24 hrs convenience store. No worries in "late night" shopping. Hotel staff speaks english and offers great service! Will surely stay again next visit!

The Sunroute Plaza hotel is an easy walk from the South exit of Shinjuku station (be sure to exit at the South exit or it won't be findable!) This is a busy hotel and seems to attract tourists from all countries. The checkin was quick, especially since we had used Agora to book and prepay the stay. The room is tiny, but works just fine for an overnight--all conveniences are provided, and there is wired connection in the room and wireless access from the guest lounge. Compared to other hotels, the price was right!
