Stayed for a nite only. Close to JR station n bullet train station as my next destination was gala ski resort. All u need s a clean n modern room, convenience stores n local restaurants ard. Sutton s definitely value for money. Bonus was the tokyo sky tree view n free casual breakfast at their tiny check-in counter.

Location is ok, 3 mins walking distance to the furthest exit of JR Ueno station, that means needs to walk around 10-15 mins to Metro system lines and 20-25 mins to Ameyoko...etc.
there is no electric kettle and air humidifier at room, needs to borrow from front desk (no Guarantee has sufficient quantity to support), same as Wifi PWD, needs to ASK by yourself and won't advise in advance while checking in. So in general the services are very poor and unfriendly.
Even though the breakfast is included, but very very simple, and all need to bring back to your room, however, with unknown reasons, you have to make the instant soup in front of the staff who was monitoring you, that felt super uncomfortable.

Can feel the building is old but modernize to new hotel, the reception (no lobby) is in the 3rd floor, and the neighborhood area is quite dark after sunset.
But freaky speaking bath room is the most unique point to be remembered,
Will never choose this hotel again.

Room tip: Facilities are good, but services... so so

Not easy to get into until you work out where the lift is sited. Reception is small but effective. Room was small but very clean and perfectly usable. The only drawback was the complimentary breakfast, which was far too inadequate. Bring your own breakfast or eat out.

Reception/Arrival - reception attendants can communicate well and respond to queries clearly and politely. Stayed in a junior suit which is quite spacious for 5 (3A+2C, aged 10 and 12). However, the temperature inside the toilet is not controlled, i.e, since we stayed in Dec, taking a shower is quite a challenge. Its cold inside the toilet, the water in the shower is either superhot or super cold. There’s two personal fridge, with writing desk, and two small round table for dining. Location is very strategic - just behind the JR Ueno line (Yamanote) and few mins in Ginza/Hibia and Keisei (direct train from narita). There are quite a variation of restaurants, shopping malls and convenient stores (7-11 across the street and family mart on its right.

We spent 6 days at this hotel during the Tokyo part of our trip and were very pleased with this choice.

The hotel is just down from Ueno station and convenient for the JR and metro lines, as well as Ueno Park, Ameyoko, Asakusa, Akihabara and Yanaka all of which can easily be visited on foot.

Despite being nestled between the train station and some kind of road overpass, our room was quiet. We had a junior suite and the lounge area was large and comfortable. Breakfast, a selection of breads and jams, was simple but effective. Staff were helpful.

I would happily return.

Stayed here for a total of 3 nights while visiting Tokyo. Managed to get a reasonably good rate online.

The hotel is extremely well located within walking distance to Uneo Station, which is one of the main interchange stations in Tokyo. We walked to and from the train station everyday for our travels.

The hotel lobby is located on 3/F and it's manned 24/7, which is helpful as they request guests to leave the key at the lobby before heading out. This is also the location to collect (not allowed to eat it there) breakfast, which is a variety of different bakery items, orange juice, tea and coffee. It's not a fancy breakfast but it's a nice to have especially if you just want to get up early, grab something quickly and head to the station.

The rooms are of typical small size in Tokyo. Although it's nowhere the smallest out there. There is enough room to open a suitcase which is not the case in many other even smaller hotels. Everything is cean and tidy.

Staff knows basic English in the lobby.

Will consider coming back again.
