Located very close to Okachimachi station. There are plenty of restaurants and other stores around the area. There is a small cafe on the first floor and you can use microwave placed there.

The room was clean but a bit old and walls were thin. I could hear the noise of the other guests. They provide basic amenities. The wifi was working fine. Would be the best place if you are a budget traveler and want to explore around Ueno.

It is located in a very convenient location. It's about 5 min walk to a JR Okachimachi station, 3 min walk to a metro station, 20 min walk to the Ueno zoo, 15 min walk to Akihabara and 5 min walk to Ameyoko market.

The room size is average, but good enough for us. The only thing we do not like is that there are thick dust/dirt clearly visible along the furniture and wall edges.

TLDR: This lodging is really great value for money!!

it's near Ueno as well as the Yushima station. There are so many good eateries around, a 24h DonDonDonki, a Daiso etc. all within the nearby vicinity.

Also, I think they have recently refurbished the hotel. It bears a unique charm of something that has a rich history, combined with a new-age boutique hotel. I booked this place via Agoda for a single bedder, and was given a 5th floor room with my own balcony.

The Simmons mattress sat nicely on the tatami floor. There was everything you ever need for a comfortable stay in Tokyo - usual toiletries, hot water kettle, a television, a mini-bar fridge. Also, the pillow was simply A M A Z I N G! - it was half a conventional stuffed pillow, half filled with husks (some traditional Japanese pillow). I slept like a baby and was so well rested after a week of business trip.

I would recommend this place to solo travelers! Not too sure about the twin rooms though.

The stuff is polite, even if they dont speak English perfectly everyone was doing thei best to explain/answer. The room is big enough for two guests, everything is clear and cosy. Definitely recommend for stay!

I've always stayed here most of the time I visit Tokyo.

The hotel is not too large but comfortable to stay and it's located just about 10-15 minutes walk from Ueno Keisei Skyliner station which connects direct to Narita Airport. It is also easy to walk to many interesting places such as Ueno Park where the beautiful cherry blossoms are, shrine, museum. There're Ameyoko market where you can do shopping for fresh fruits, shoes, clothings, cosmetics, electronics, and pretty much everything you need to buy from Japan. All of these is just a few minutes walk from hotel.

The hotel provides many of the basic amenities as you can expect from Japanese hotel and service but with an extra service that you can select additional kinds of pillows to be used in the room without extra charge.

An important thing for me which I always give much concern when selecting hotels is the water pressure of the shower so this speed up shower time and makes it enjoyable. This hotel will give you pleasant time in the shower.

However, the room is very small that I have to rearrange things in the room so that I can open two luggages at the same time. I know that most of the standard hotels in Tokyo are always like this so no complain.

The WiFi is free with standard speed.

Room tip: The rooms have different sizes so ask for a larger room if available.
