This hotel is within easy walking distance of both the JR Ueno station as well as the Keisei Ueno station (we used the Keisei Skyliner to get to and from Narita Airport). It is also close to Ueno Onshi Park. My son and I shared a two-twin room. The room was small, which evidently is common in Tokyo, but very clean and very efficiently organized. They put Ikea to shame. Incredibly, in addition to the two beds, there was room for a TV, desk, chair, even a refrigerator (everything was scaled appropriately). There was just enough room for our backpacks. The bathroom is pod-like (which we were to find is also common in many small hotels and ryokans with private bathrooms). I also want to give a shout out to the front desk. We stayed here our first night in Tokyo, and were so pleased with the room that I booked it for our last two nights as well (we went on a tour in between). However, due to the floods in western Tokyo, we ended up getting stuck in Hiroshima and were unable to reach Tokyo until the day of our flight. The hotel staff graciously did not charge us for the cancelled reservations.
