Room was small and faced a brick wall. Could hear traffic lights at night. Bothered me but not my husband. Was clean and staff gave kids a welcome pack on arrival. Staff were really friendly and tried to help but didn't have much info about the area. Was ok for 1 night. Location was handy near the train station and ueno park. 5 mins walk to the zoo.

Front staff EBIHARA
It’s right outside several metro lines and easy walking distance to the JR yamanote line. Easy to reach with either airports. Close to lots of restaurants and shops and also ameyoko shopping area. The rooms are what you would expect from an affordable Tokyo hotel. They help out with lots of things. I could even borrow an umbrella from the front desk for a rainy day. Because of the size of the rooms I recommend booking a double sized room.
Very clean room, pleasant and helpful staff. The facility room on the second floor has microwave oven for heating food. Location is great, near train stations, near shopping area, near Ueno park and zoo.Will definitely book again.

1. hotel location is very good , 5 mins by walk to Keisei Ueno station (京成上野駅) Skyliner airlines express, 30 seconds by walk to Metro Ginza line Ueno-hirokoji station (上野広小路駅) , 3 mints by walk to JR Yamanote Line Okachimachi station(上野駅)
2. Curtain of shower room is very dirthy and foul-smelling. It's terrible !

4. The sound insulation of glass window is extremely bad. The sound of traffic lights
next to hotel at night made me unable to sleep
5. Stains are found both at wall paper of the room and the quilts. It's terrible !
6. the hotel information Pad was suddenly turned on bright during mid-night that
disturb for sleeping.

This hotel is located very close to subway (Ueno-Hirokoji station) and a big JR station (Ueno). Also, it close to Keisei-Ueno station, which you could have a skyliner train directly from Narita Airport. So the location is 10/10.
The hotel room is clean. The room size is relatively small but it is as usual at this size in Tokyo.
There are 3 or 4 convenience store nearby and 24 hours shopping mall (Donqihote) within 5 minutes walk.
You can easily find a food in this area include late night meal. There are 2 famous ramen shop nearby. First one is Ichiran at Ueno station and second is Ippudo.
The hotel staff are really nice and friendly. This hotel provide you a coin laundry with cheap price (500 JPY for 3Kg).
I'd love to return here if I'll visit Tokyo again.
