This hotel is okay. A bit far away from the station if you’ve been walking all day. The area is in a lively part of Asakusa which is good for some but you can hear the noise clearly at night. If you’re sensitive to noise you might have a hard time sleeping.

The room we had was a suite. It’s split into a bedroom and living room with the toilet separate and in the living area. For some reason the toilet room always had a musty smell that best sent away and the small sink was in convenient and had no area for hand soap or a hand turn rack. The bedroom had a large closet with took up too much room making the area hard to walk through at times. There is no night stand so one of us used the desk and the other a folding chair to put out stuff down. The night light was incredibly bright for some reason.

The kitchen had a lot of nice cookery and the washer/dryer was a plus. The refrigerator is a larger size so if you are staying awhile or buy a lot of food or groceries, this place would be convenient. Would I come back here? Probably not because yet are similar hotels that are closer to more transportation options.

We enjoyed our stay at the B Conte Asakusa and found we were situated in a lively area with shops and bars/restaurants outside our door (not that we heard much noise from inside the hotel). The suite had cooking facilities, a washing machine and a lounge area which was great to relax in after a busy day. After the first day, there is no replacement of the bottled water and capsules for the coffee machine although coffee bags and tea are available to guests in the foyer, so it wasn’t a big deal. We were really pleased to see the effort that the hotel made in providing a separate waste bag in the room for cans/bottles and plastics recycling. The bed is very comfortable and we could easily access transport options. Overall, a good stay.

- A 24 hrs supermarket and Don Quixote just a skip away.

Con:
- Reception staff especially the guys can appear abit terse and impersonal.
- Smell lingers in room if you cook. I didn’t cook during my stay but there was a bit of of a lingering smell from the last guest, so I switched on the exhaust thinking that it would air the room but it made it worse.
