Great value for money

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 Apr 2024
I was surprised by this hotel. At this price range and at peak season, this is like an upgrade of hotels in this price range, even better than slightly more expensive hotels. Although not in the luxury range, it exceeded my expectation because the hotel is more modern, the room bigger and amenities better. It even included breakfast for the price.

Perhaps it is the location that makes it perhaps less desirable. It is a longer walk from the Asakusa subway station but not too long. There are hotels less than 10 minutes walk even less than 5 minutes walk but this is a good 12-15 minutes if you walk fast. If you don't mind the walk it is good. I don't mind even with heavy luggage. The walk is straight forward and easy, no stairs involved if you take the lift from the subway that comes up to just across the tourist information building. And if you take the street with the covered shops you can even look around at the shops and restaurants while walking there.

Check in was fast. Instead of keys or key cards, they give you a pass code. You key the code to enter your room as well as to enter the hotel at the ground floor between midnight and 7am. The sliding door are locked between these hours. Don't forget the code!

The room is bigger than hotels at this range. Decor is more modern. The usual amenities are there: fridge, kettle, tv, hairdryer, slippers... The bathroom also seem roomier and less of a step up from the room. There is a window which only looked to the wall of the next building. I didn't mind. I don't normally look out of the windows in a hotel room.

The supplied pillow was hard but you can choose other pillows at the second floor reception. There were also other free stuff at the lobby like ear plugs, combs, moisturizers, etc

Breakfast is served from 630am so my second morning I could not take as I left at 530am to catch my flight. The variety was limited though, some pastries, bread, spaghetti and some Japanese dishes which I didn't take. There was coffee, tea and juices. More variety for breakfast will be good. Also a luggage rack in the room will be perfect.

I would come back again gladly even though it was farther.

Room Tip: Don't forget your code! The sliding entrance door at street level are closed from 12-7am Just key...

The hotel's breakfast area/ lounge was being renovated when we stayed. It was not a good experience as it was just like staying in a capsule hotel. Nowhere to sit down at all. It was not mentioned when I made the booking which was conveniently non-refundable. The packed breakfast box in the morning was cold. There would have been better hotels with the price I paid.

I love Superhotel! The room includes breakfast which is worth it. The Japanese breakfast selection was great for the price. Ladies get to choose 5 amenities daily and you get to pick up additional pillow. Service was great, staff was attentive. I will always choose Super Hotel when I'm in Tokyo

Very good and nice hotel with no large room but enough for me.
Good pillow inside, no need to ask for one other.
Breakfast is not so well but not bad at all.
It was a pleasure to stay there a few days.
For people who loves ecological way.
Nice people ready to help with a not bad knowledge of English.

First of all, staffs working at there were generally kind and helpful. Scale of the hotel is quite samll but surprisingly, every facilities you need is well-appointed and you don't find them much inconvenient except for lacking its space. Rooms were clean, and quiet. The only problem of the room (I stayed) was its bad smell of cigarrett smoke. I knew the whole hotel is non-smoking building, and how such a heavy smoking odour was happend inside of the hotel room. I complained about the matter, and the staffs offerred me another room swiftly.
Although the choices of food for breakfast wasn't so many, those were generally good for me. One tip for the breakfast is you'd better go earlier to get your meal so that you can avoid crowded. (The place for breakfast is also very samll and cramped) The location of hotel is conveniently situated and very good to access every place of Tokyo. If you are a walking lover, goking to Asakusa(Sensou-ji) by walk might be a piece of cake, since its very close from the hotel. Quite a few restaurants are around the hotel, so you can easily eat at. Generally, I'd recommend this hotel if you don't mind narrowness.

The hotel is located on the east side of Sensoji. It is much tranquil compared with the bustling west. Even though the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Asakusa station. It's still bothering to those with luggage! The lobby or I will call it a living room will make you feel like home. And they have different types of pillow, filling with different fiber to fit individual needs which is quite special! So I brought the pillow I chose and pajama to check-in my room. What an interesting way!! The space of the room just like most of the hotel in Tokyo. I think it's enough for a single traveler, but might be crowded for two. There was no view from my window. It is more like a ventilation window. The complimentary breakfast was really great that combined with Western and Japanese style, it definitely could make you full. It's pretty good to stay nearby the Sensoji. Therefore you can enjoy the Sensoji by evening and early morning to avoid a mass of visitors.
