Description: The restaurant at Limestone reflects a traditional country house. But combined with a fusion of bright, modern colours makes this a unique dining experience, enhanced by spectacular views over this quintessential part of the English countryside. Our restaurant provides an elegant yet informal setting for morning coffee, afternoon tea and dinner. Accommodating up to 26 people the restaurant can also be hired for private functions. Included in your room rate, you will be able to enjoy a traditional English breakfast as well as a few house breakfast specialties Our chef has prepared an exquisite "A La Carte" menu, offering the freshest seafood caught the same morning from the cove. Limestone's Restaurant also offers a large selection of daily specials according to the season and availability of local produce. We also offer a vegetarian menu, but would appriciate notice prior to arrival.

We ate and also stayed for two nights at the Limestone hotel in August Super experience especially with their fresh fish straight off the quay each morning. My favorite was the scallop starter. Also very friendly, well trained staff.
Hopefully we can arrange another trip this year.

Attentive service, delicious food and the perfect setting. We treated ourselves to dinner here as we couldn't book in for a stay. The hotel is beautiful, set on a slight hill overlooking the gorgeous surroundings. Staff were helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Food was fresh and cooked well (we had scallops, fish and steak) While the meal was extremely enjoyable the price was a little on the expensive side, hence the 4 stars, but it was a great evening and rounded off the perfect weekend.

I came to lulworth for a short break and discovered this amazing restaurant all over again! The chef just keeps getting better and better, he clearly takes a lot of care and effort over the dishes. I always worry when food comes out within minutes of it being ordered as I really expect freshly cooked food when eating out. The scallops in particular were to die for and the lobster thermador was also spot on. I will continue to return to this place and recommend anyone to give it a go, you will not be disappointed.

Service from the staff was exemplary and it was a pleasure to be served by them.

Food took forever to come out. We were there over 2 and a half hours for a 3 course meal.

Portions were small and overpriced for what actually turned up. Razor clams over cooked and a soufflé that looked like it had seen better days. We both left the restaurant hungry and out of pocket.

A very average restaurant. With odd jugs with price tags on them informing diners that they could be purchased... no thanks it’s a restaurant not a gift shop.

On a freezing cold December evening we were shown into the bar for pre dinner drinks around the open fire,(most welcoming). The waitress brought us the menu and specials board and gave us a full description of each meal, after ordering we were then taken through to the restaurant.
After the complementary breads and oils i went for the broccoli and blue vinney soup and my wife had the butternut squash tartlet, both really tasty.
For the main course i chose the pork medallions and my wife had the vegetable stir fry with noodles, everything cooked to perfection.
Although the restaurant was very quite with only one other table occupied we never felt alone as the young waitress was very friendly and made us most welcome.
Now for the sweets!! make sure you leave some room for the sweets even if you have to walk around the garden for a while. My wife had the apple and walnut cake with ice cream and i had the magnificent Toffee apple cheesecake with clotted cream, both sweets to die for. Overall and excellent meal and service, we will be visiting again.
