We booked Thornton Hall very last minute yesterday, we actually originally booked and paid for a stay at The Last Drop Village in Bolton. It really was awful, so we travelled an hour to come to Thornton to salvage our little break.
We rang and spoke with Matty, we explained our situation and he was nothing but amazing, he had us booked in within 5-10 mins, we were on our way.
On check in, he told us he had upgraded us in a main house room (room 5), he was very friendly, attentive and really made a difference to our rubbish situation. We had already wasted a couple of hours at Last Drop and travelling for an hour to get there. What an amazing gesture.
We are just so so thankful to Matty and all the other lovely and friendly staff members that work the the hotel, we’ve lost count how many times we have been to your hotel, probably double figures now. We can’t speak highly enough of it, the food, drinks, spa facilities (outdoor hot tub is a major bonus, over looking fields) and treatments are all 5*.
