We dined here both nights of our stay and were pleasantly surprised by the variety and choice on the menu. Breakfasts were pretty good too.

Thank Antal

This historic inn is by far the poshest place to stay in Death Valley. Beautiful amenities. Stroll along past the poolside area to the waterfalls and smaller reflection pools. The dining room itself is quite classically amended with white tablecloths and large portraits of a couple of the founders on the walls across from each other. The food is California fusion style. Waiters are very pleasant but also very formal. (You do feel like you've gone back in time to the early 1930's.) Nothing is inexpensive, but it makes for a very unique dining experience in a place called Death Valley.

The place was like fort bastion. canteen was military in appearance as was the accommodation. The place was under renovation but really should have been closed. Carry on to Vegas instead

At first glance the dining experience reminded me of the El Tovar dining room at the Grand Canyon. The service was good but the food was super pricey. Expected at a national park lodge, especially one as remote as Death Valley, but the quality wasn't on par with the price. My steak was pretty basic, nothing special or noteworthy, but quite pricey at $48.
