The lodge is a motel-style series of buildings scattered around the south rim visitor center area. Our room did not have air conditioning, which was a major reason why this got four stars instead of five given it was not well documented on the website. Overall the lodge was clean and best of all, it was a short 10 min walk to the south rim of the canyon. The four of us squeezed in ok, but it was a bit tight. The bathrooms are very basic. If you have an issue, it will take some time to phone the front desk and get someone out to your room (think extra towels for kids). The walk to the cafeteria was fine and had mostly standard fare. The general store across the street had a surprisingly wide spread of food and drinks. Overall, it was a fair price for what you get.

Two sections to this 'lodge'. West is classic 1960's motel, small, old, no amenities. The east is newer, multi story. Same price. The room is small, small bath, one picture window in the front where everyone walks by, one small window in the back. It is in the park, but that is about all that is good. Near a general store and near the cafeteria (which is superb). And near the shuttle stop.

Very cosy area with a general store and a cafeteria serving reasonably priced and delicious eats. The rooms are big and pretty luxurious. WiFi only available in the main lobby and non-existent in the rooms. If you're driving, it's based in a central area between all the canyon viewing points

Its very convenient for the shuttle buses and views of the canyon. Rooms are a tad basic but (in May) absolutely fine despite having no aircon but openable screened windows. The site is large and we were quite a way from the main buildings where there was food etc. We actually bought ourselves a picnic at the general store in the evening which made a nice change from yet another restaurant meal. I;'m pretty sure the wifi worked OK here.

Location of this lodge is grate. Hop on and off bus stop is very nesr.
Rooms are OK. They are old rusty rooms. May be in middle of GC Park one should not expect better.
This lodge consists of several two story buildings. So, for check in, you have to go to the main building. Now, in April, to find a parking near that building is impossible. Signs for additional parking are very confusing.
However,
People are very nice. Restaurant next to the main building serves good food.
Note: It was so crowded, if possible avoid going there when schools are out.
