Owner description: Dramatic Pacific coast beach with a rugged shoreline.

This is right off of the main road, 101, so that makes it especially worth the time. We stopped there on our drive from Log Cabin Resort to Lake Quinault Lodge. The stacks are beautiful; the whole scene is classic Northwest Pacific Coast. With a little effort, you can even walk among the driftwood logs.

Great tide pools and wild life. Beautiful beach with lots of waves. Limited parking and long trail to beach. Then lots of huge logs to climb over to get to beach. Not recommended for elderly or someone who is out of shape. Small parking lot with limited parking.

Ruby Beach is a beautiful beach - sea stacks, drift "logs" you have to climb over to get to the beach, forested cliffs - quite the sight. I'd certainly recommend it.

Great place!! I love being here at low tide, able to access the sea stacks and hike along the beach on the other side of the creek. There are LOTS of large drift logs, making it tricky to get out to the beach from the trail, but it is worth it; just be extremely careful of your footing. If you want to go to the sea stacks and past Cathedral Rock, you will have to cross the creek, so be sure to bring water shoes as the creek bottom is rocks. Watch the tide!

Very nice beach with stacked driftwood, polished rock, and interesting large rocks. Sadly it is so populated with visitors it takes away the beauty of the setting. I’d recommend visiting some of the less populated beaches in the Olympic Rainforest.
