The lodge is great fun, free shuttle that's runs everywhere...its surrounded by beautiful, majestic mountains, you're always looking up to heaven, lots of greenery, the food is really good at their restaurant, get the trout! And make your own taco for lunch, the crew is very friendly, beautiful gift shop and don't bump into one of the neighbors, the very friendly deer are on the grounds....great family place!

Room Tip: They all have little porches, fun to sit outside and enjoy, check with the desk at hotel..they are very accommodating.

Wonderful experience! The only cars allowed this far into the park are from those that stay in the lodge, once the shuttles stop running only guest in the just over 100 rooms have the park to themselves. It is awesome! The hotel room has a cute porch with 2 rockers and a table. The decor is rustic but very functional. Comfy beds. We were on the 2nd floor, however, from the sound of the floor I would imagine carry down to the first floor. Not many food options if you stay in the lodge. One fast carry option and the other is a sit down service, make reservations. In the early morning and evening deer come down to the lodge lawn and make a perfect end to the day. The lodge is worth every penny!!

Room Tip: 2nd floor, no elevator.

Our room was located on the second floor (no elevator but did have interior stairs). Ice maker in the building, private balcony, no frig, great air conditioning, TV and spotty internet due to the canyon walls. The large green lawn welcomes a family of deer each evening and early morning.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the hotel rooms nearest the lodge for convenience

SO, I think we ll know that you need to set the bar lower for one of the Xanterra Lodges. The original lodges are all beautiful, this one a bit less so, but it's the location you pay for. The location is awesome and the news from the common grounds and even some of the rooms were unreal. The rooms themselves left something to be desired, especially the beds. The AC was great and the porches were awesome. I loved the recycling bins. The rooms were a decent size. The restaurant food was very good-again, given the place. Prices are a bit steep but that's to be expected. We only stayed one night here and the other nights in Springdale which worked out perfect for us! Would definitely stay again!

I stayed in the Cabins and in the Hotel. The cabins have two double beds and a fireplace and fridge and microwave but no TV. The hotel room has two Queen size beds and no fireplace or fridge or microwave but has a TV. So you pick what you prefer. The view is spectacular and you really should stay within ZION if you get an opportunity.
