Whatever you do, don't miss a stop to visit this colorful and eclectic place while passing through Bouillante on the island of Basse Terre.
The view alone is worth a visit, but the food is fabulous, and don't even get me started about the amazing desserts and mixed cocktails!
We visited twice. Once for coffee and desserts and once for lunch.
The restaurant has several small covered deck areas where you can while away the afternoon eating, drinking, and soaking in the view, and the breezes coming off of the Caribbean Ocean.
Not much English spoken here, but the menu has English and the servers are most friendly.
Open 7 days a week.
Free parking area next to restaurant.
Oh, did I mention the Iguanas? Yep, they are right in viewing distance. In fact some come up into the restaurant, but not to worry. They are shy and not aggressive...just really prehistoric looking. Photographers, pull out your cameras. You will get some great shots of these guys as they are slow and most accommodating.
This was our favorite spot in Guadeloupe, and we will definitely come here on any future trips to the islands.
NOTE: There are a lot of stairs to get up into this restaurant from the parking area, but it's worth the hike.
