We called down as we were passing and found this to be a lovely area. Away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby resorts. There is a nice clean beach with small boat launching facilities. This also looks like a great area for snorkelling. There is only a small sitting area down by the beach at high tide so if you want the best out of your visit and you like beaches its worth finding out the tide times and planning around them. There are two carparks near the Quay and a smaller on at the top were you pay the modest £2 to park.

Visited Hartland Quay quite by chance as we were exploring Northern Cornwall's coast. I just picked it as somewhere to check out. Got there and, check it out! Cost £2 for the toll road down and parking but well worth it. The view of the coast on what was a lovely sunny day, was spectacular. The cliff formations and the turquoise sea, with a view of the Isle of Lundy in the distance. Absolutely lovely.

Went for an evening meal and were pleased. The fish and chips were really good and well cooked. Not a great choice of menu but OK. They were busy and did get our meals wrong but did their best to sort it. Good choice of beers and the views are 5*

Maybe picked the wrong day to visit, as it was wet and windy. Spectacular views of the rock face and bay. £2 parking charge as it is a toll road leading to the viewing area. On a calm sunny day this is a must visit attraction. seating area on a grass peninsula.
The roads leading here are very narrow and likewise on arrival at the entrance narrow and steep. Cliff top walking area with a pub and hotel at the lower level.

We visited the Quay as a friend who lives nearby recommend it. Wow! The view of the rocks is amazing but as it was a dull and windy day and the hotel restaurant was busy we didn’t stop for long. We will go back next time we’re in the area.
