So first off I debated giving 3 or 4 stars, but ideally they would get 3.5 from me, but i opted to round down.
We checked in Saturday July 30th and left August 2nd, so 3 total nights we were there. Check in was simple, nothing too stressful. Room was fine, spacious and had a balcony overlooking pool and beach, so kids loved that.
PRO's:
-Location to beach and boardwalk, was nice to be able to walk and go eat and hang out
-Workers very nice and always willing to help
-Overall the hotel was clean with no issues
CON's:
-Ice machines were broken on almost every floor. Hotel has two separate buildings. One building has 7 floors while other has like 10 or something. We stayed in 7 floor building and were on 5th floor and only ice machine that building that kind of worked was 7th floor.
-Heard from other guests that other building only had one working machine too.
-VERY expensive, but most things in Pensacola are and i get the hotel can't adjust the price of things, but be ready
-Breakfast buffet was $24 per adult and $15 per kid. But the selection was decent.
-Pool bar closed at 10pm, seemed a tad early for a vacation/tourist spot. I get they don't want loud parties out there all night, but just seemed early to me.
-All their computers went down Sunday afternoon and still weren't back to fully working before we left
-All charges had to go on room, or cash, no credit/debit cards could be used. Not a big deal for us, but something to notate for others going
This wasn't our first time going here, and we will certainly be back. Just some things could have been a little more buttoned up. I get that things break (ice machines) but i would have figured they would call someone to come work on them considering the hotel is basically full capacity and it's end of July. But instead they just hang a sign that says out of order. Granted you could stop at the bar downstairs and get ice, but that doesn't fix trying to bring an ice chest to the beach...
