Even if this is the only hotel in Kvitfjell its a good choice. You have literally ski in out both in front of the hotel and from the back entrance, both for down hill and cross country. Location is perfect. This hotel offers fitness room, swimming hall, massage room and ski room in addition to a good restaurant. The hotel offers outside lunch on a nice stone covered terrace during easter and special occasions such as world cup (down hill). Rooms are small but nice in an old fashion style, but suites are large. Suite 201 and 301 has a nice view towards the slopes and terrace with evening sun, even a terrace. WiFI is only offered in the lobby and bar area, not in individual rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the slopes, good view and evening sun

Good location, good food and good service, but appalling pricing information on hotel services. Rather than charging 200nok extra for the room the hotel chooses to charge 75,- nok for a bottle of water and 40,- for a microscopic bag of chips and 82,- for 0,33 beers. All that is good is ruined by the feeling of being tricked into spending too much money.

The pool is ok, but filled to the brim with children. There are no child-free hours in the pool.

We were a party of 65 people staying at the hotel, which maybe was a bit much for them to handle. We were given dinnertime between 18.19.30 and had to eat at this time, which maybe should could have been more flexible.

The hotel however is super nice situated smack in the middle of the slopes, in a system offering a ski experience for both beginners and advanced skiiers. World Cup downhill for both men and women are run here annualy.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the slopes, i.e. south/southwest. Much better view.

Very nice hotel on the inside with nice common areas. Great after-ski bar, swimming pool, jacuzzi, nice restaurant to make a nice combination with a day of skiing. You can buy your lift ticket at reception and then ski out on the slopes. The service in reception felt a bit cold. When we arrived, we asked about our reservation and were just handed a key. Small detail, but a more warm reception would have been nice. They also seemed to shrug when they had no more wireless codes for wifi access, again at this price, you should have wifi. The restaurant had a very professional wait staff and outstanding food. All in all, very recommendable, i would definately return.

Lovely low rise hotel nestled amongst the ski slopes of Kvitfjell. Built in log cabin style with wooden floors and a roaring fire. A great location for a relaxed skiing holiday Norwegian style.
Hotel staff could not have been more helpful arranging taxi transfers from the local railway station and ski passes. food is superb with excellent and varied set menus each evening. After a day on the slopes there is a large swimming pool and hot tube to relax in as well as a sauna.

The hotels excellent location on the ski slopes means you really can ski out and ski in each day. Will definitely plan a return visit next Christmas. Despite Norway having a reputation for being expensive booking half board and the ski passes through the hotel made the whole holiday great value.

Room Tip: Request a room on the fourth floor overlooking the slopes
