We stayed at this B&B for two nights while we were in Ometepe. The rooms were a great size, but did not have A&C. The best part of this place was definitely the service. When we showed up, they were helpful in telling us great places to eat and setting up a volcano hike for us for the next morning. The breakfast was also great. They had a fridge filled with beer and other refreshments which you could help yourself too, and then check off how many you had on a notecard kept in the kitchen. You then paid for all of your extras (beer, water, etc) at the end of your stay, when you paid for you room.

The wifi signal was strong, but only in the common area. Not a big deal as there are plenty of places to sit and hang out while you're there. They also have a nice little area with hammocks.

I would stay here again,

Myself and family stayed here over Xmas and had a lovely cabin in lovely surroundings on a gorgeous island. Javier was really helpful with time for everyone and the atmosphere was very laid back but very well ran. The bar area is pleasing and clean, the breakfast good value. Somais a nice distance from the town, walkable but quiet at night. I would defo stay here again

Away from the town centre but close enough to walk, this was a welcoming hostel set in thick greenery surrounded by animals (sounds of the jungle!) and complete with a quirky bar/reception area. It also doubled up as a restaurant for guests with a chill out hammock area on site. The rooms were a little spartan and the hot shower was, shall we say tepid, but this was more than made up by the price and staff, who worked tirelessly and were always on hand to offer valuable information and a smile. Javier who effectively runs the entire operation has his finger firmly on the pulse and can help with tours and moped rentals. Well done, great job and good luck with the future.

Room Tip: They don't accept credit cards so have enough cash when checking out.

My husband and I spent a night at this small affordable hotel and would definitely return. The rooms are spacious and clean, beautiful grounds, very quiet and peaceful. What really made our stay memorable was the staff!! Javier, the manager and Marlon, his right hand man, were outstanding hosts. Truly outstanding young men. We enjoyed our 2 days on Ometepe. The nearby museum was worth the visit as was Verde Park. Next visit will be longer.

Room Tip: Only the cabins have hot water

Hospedaje Soma is located just outside the busy center of Moyogalpa. It is really beautiful, quiet and relaxing.

Javier, the manager, is extremely nice and helpfull (and funny). He gave us a lot of good tips about how to enjoy the island best.

The rooms are spaceous and super clean. I especially liked the firm matresses and the lovely paintings on the wall.

Would absolutely recommend this place and hope to return one day!
