We visited Lunan Bay recently, intending to walk the length of the beach. However, it turned out to be one of the sunniest and hottest days of the summer and we ended up sitting enjoying the view, followed by a gentle stroll along the water's edge. The bay, contained between two outcrops of cliffs, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland. As it was hot and the school holidays, there were lots of families enjoying themselves. However, there is plenty of space and the beach could not be described as busy. There is a good sized car park, and an overflow area was in use too. Well worth a visit.
