Booked in to this B&B and from the moment we drove up the gravel drive,we felt that we had booked into 6 star accomodation!
The gardens are stunning. Parking was excellant, right by the front door.
We were greeted by Julie the owner, so warmly.
Julie showed us to our various rooms and gave us an explanation of the the history in relation to the house & area.
Having settled in to one of the 3 magnificent rooms with on suite. Every comfort was in the room, soft cream chocs,tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits, and a sofa to take the fatigue from the journey away. Our room looked out on the front gardens and just sitting there was so relaxing.
Julie made it clear that if there was anything we needed she was there to assist.
Fabulous night's sleep was had and the shower was spot on!
Having completed a breakfast request form the previous evening showing your choice from smoked salmon to top full English breakfast and vegetarian. Also what time we wanted it.
The breakfast room was relaxing and interesting, with pictures of former occupants and family.
Having eaten to bursting and feeling refreshed, we reluctantly had to say good bye. But not for ever, we shall return to this B&B!!!
Our stay has put some 5star hotels in the shade! The cleanliness, hospitality and comfortableness that you get is outstanding.
