1) you get an excellent view of the piers and therefore also of the cruise ships
2) you get a great service from the staff
3) there is a cool breeze from the ocean
4) you are close enough but also far enough away from the shopping area
5) you still get a great service from the staff
6) you don't have far to go to get back onto your cruise ship on time
7) the local sellers do not come upstairs to sell you things
8) the beers here are cheaper than on the high street/st marks street
9) you get to meet lots of fellow cruise shippers who are searching for....
10) the free wifi (which is a bonus) is quite quick once you get online
A winning combination for me and if i am ever in St Johns again this will be my first place to go.

Stopped in here to have a local beer. Enjoyed the drinks, the service was great. The workers were so attentive to making sure you had everything you needed. Had a good conversation with some fellow cruisers. It was quite busy. The only bad part for me was people who smoked. We were in different country & they have different practices.

This cafe is upstairs right at the harbour and next to the cruise ship terminal.
the coffee was ok [ as was the Caribbean beer] and lots of customers were having beers and a late lunch.
Its good wifi in a Caribbean town where cafes are scarce, decent coffee was scarcer and as a bonus the staff were friendly [tolerant on wifi users] and a nice light breeze came through the open verandah

We were in Antigua for the cricket recently and having read scout their speciality "cricket bat" cocktail (white rum, golden rum and dark rum with a soft drink). The staff are very friendly and we sat facing out to the harbour watching a rain shower pass over!

We didn't eat but the food looked lovely but it's a fab bar for a visit

Bar in the centre of the harbour area on Redcliffe Quay. Great views from the balcony area and the WiFi worked reasonably sell. Busy when the ships are in of course but nice atmosphere if a little cramped.
