Thank you for taking time to review our property. We’re so happy that everything lived up to your expectations and that you had a wonderful time at our resort, not to mention throughout Aruba. We hope you’ll come back and see us again very soon!
We were here for 7 nights with a group of friends. We found the rooms clean, the staff helpful, the grounds well-maintained, and a very convenient location to other shopping and restaurants.
The restaurants on site were good as was the service. We enjoyed the exotic birds on the property and learning about them. The pool area was well maintained, and we liked being able to reserve a palapa on the beach.
The concierge was very helpful and we booked several side trips through them that were great.
The only recommendation I’d have is not to stay in building #1 if you are wanting to get to sleep early, as the music from the Hard Rock across the street can be heard fairly loudly until at least 1:30 am. We had to turn on a sound machine to drown out the noise. The other two buildings would be better suited to hearing less noise during the night.
Overall this was a nice hotel and we’d return.

The hotel according to photos on the walls in the lobby has been around since late 1950’s which probably explains why it is the biggest property on Palm Beach. Very nice, well maintained grounds. Rooms are fairly spacious and pleasantly appointed though ceilings are low and are a bit dark with the light coming through smallish sliding doors to the balcony. I guess these are structural features that cannot be easily changed with renovations the last one apparently having been completed very recently. Friendly and helpful staff. Main pool/ bar can be noisy but if that’s a problem one can request a room in one of the two smaller towers which do not overlook directly that area. Beach loungers tend to get taken early so be there with the towels first thing or book a couple under the straw huts.

We just returned from five days at the Hilton which were paid for exclusively with Hilton points. I must say Aruba, the hotel and the vacation all far exceeded our expectations. I have finally found my annual “spot”.
I am not an easily appeased human being but I cannot think of one thing that anyone at the Hilton could have done better. Perfect is not a word I throw around lightly but in this case, the Hilton nailed it.
First of all the location is ideal. Palm Beach is one of the nicest in the world and the hotel sits on the premier stretch. The water is turquoise and very swimmable. Hardly any seaweed or rocks. In front of the hotel sits the entertainment hub of Aruba with dozens of great restaurants and souvenir shopping.
The grounds are immaculate with two large pools, several hammocks, and scores of palapas both poolside and on the beach. The “towel game”, which is one of my biggest pet peeves about certain resorts, is not played here. Instead you can book (online if you wish) your palapa in advance. If you want a specific spot you can reserve several days in advance for a small fee ($15-$35) depending on location. Otherwise you can wait until 4pm and reserve any unclaimed palapa for free. We reserved premium spots for three days and got a free one for the last day. We reserved front row (nearest to the water) but on two of the days the watersport shops rented out portable umbrellas to cruise ship patrons who wander up the beach and planted them in front of us. Kinda annoying but since it’s a public beach Hilton has no control over that occurring. The right side (lower number) palapas seem to have this happen less as the cruise boat rats stop at the first watersport shop they come upon. (There are three on the beach by the Hilton that rent umbrellas, rafts, paddle boards, etc). Renting a paid palapa from the hotel also gets you the added benefit of having it reserved until noon as opposed to 9am for the freebies. They also give you cold bottled water and set up your towels for you.
There was supposedly a “lively” pool and quiet pool, but I didn’t see a difference in either. They were both fairly quiet and much less crowded than the beach even though the hotel was nearly full. The water was surprisingly cool but easy to get used to.
As a diamond member we were given breakfast vouchers for free continental breakfast or the full upgrade to the hot buffet for seven bucks. Breakfast was good with two nice omelet stations and American breakfast staples. Definitely worth the 7 buck upgrade. Champagne is included but we never took advantage.
For lunch you can order food from Gilligan’s (the lunch restaurant) to your palapa right from your smartphone or from the beach waiters. We had quesadillas, buffalo chicken sandwiches, burgers, and wraps which were all good but on the expensive side.
There is a Starbucksesque coffee shop off the hotel lobby which is good, but on the far right side of the beach (just off the Hilton property) is a place called The Bread Basket which has much better coffee and is much cheaper. My wife raved about the Java Chip Frappuccino. It’s just a few steps from the low numbered palapas.
We only ate dinner once at the hotel- at the sunset grille. Pricy, but the steak and the service were equally amazing. The other nights we simply went across the street to the lively plaza where there are several different dining establishments Tip: DO NOT LEAVE THE ISLAND without trying the Spaghetti al Formaggio at Gianni’s. It is made tableside by carving out a giant wheel of Parmesan, lighting it on for with whiskey pasta sauce, and melting it into your pasta. It. Is. Incredible.
I spent some time at the casino which was better than I expected. They usually had two blackjack tables going, a roulette wheel, a craps table, and a few other table games along with about 100 slot machines. I am a poker guy and they actually have a pretty decent poker room, although players don’t show up until later in the evening. There were usually two tables for cash games going by midnight each night.
Since I used Hilton points, I booked the standard room but was upgraded to a partial-ocean view room on the 5th floor of the Curacao tower, which is the farthest to the south. Due to the layout of the hotel, very few rooms will have a great full ocean view but ours had a balcony where you could see a nice sunset. The rooms aren’t huge but very clean and modern. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping us stocked with water and toiletries. There was even a bucket of Aruban beer waiting for us upon arrival.
Everyone we came in contact with were pleasant and very helpful. I have read some reviews on here that indicated otherwise, but I have to think that those were written by people who are quite rude themselves. There seemed to be a high proportion of guests from the northeast US (especially NYC, Boston, and Philadelphia) and I did encounter more than one set of guests being unpleasant, unrealistic, and demanding to hotel employees. The employees were nothing but delightful in response though.
While I have stayed in more lush and lavish
properties, the combination of the location (both on the beach and across from the fabulous dining/entertainment district), the service, and Aruba in general made this my favorite vacation ever. I have been all over the tropics and always maintained that I never wanted to visit the same place twice
so as to see as many different as possible, but have already started planning a trip to the Hilton Aruba for next year.

First time at this particular hotel. For years we stayed at the Hyatt (just 100 yards away) but the increasing pressure to get up early to reserve shade drove us from Aruba to visit other Caribbean islands with more laid back beaches and crystal clear waters. Friends of ours stay at the Hilton each year (formerly the Radisson until 2015) and they told us about the system of reserving Palapas using a phone app.
We decided to give Aruba another chance.
Glad we did.
First, service was outstanding. From the moment we checked in all the employees were friendly and always happy to see us.
Secondly, we had no status with Hilton Honors but the front desk person gladly found a room in the building we requested. She was so welcoming to us and made us feel important.
Room was clean and newly refurbished. Lots of space to store things and a lovely patio.
Beach was expansive with lots of space to spread out. Palapas were numbered and it was easy to reserve one and just show up each morning. Beach attendants were friendly and willing to help with anything. Everyone smiled and said hello.
Many guests were "repeats" and returned there each year.
Waitstaff at Gilligen's beach grill were always smiling. Service was great and food fresh.
Housekeeping kept our room spotless.
With Hilton being in the "high rise area" of Palm beach one might think it would be crowded and hectic. Just the opposite is true. When we walked through the doors after returning from activities outside the resort it felt like we were returning to a tropical oasis.
I recommend Hilton to anyone who wants the convenience of being near lots of great restaurants, walking distance to the other hotels and activities and the luxury of tropical serenity in the midst of busy Palm Beach.
I was pleasantly surprised by how great this place is!! Can't wait to come back.

Have been here every years for the past 17 years. If someone hasn't already said so, the room cleaning staff here are the best of the best of the best. In particular "Helen" who has serviced our room on two separate visits.
I think I've already said before, and will reiterate, that there is no hotel in Aruba with better "grounds." The grounds are spacious, including the beach area, clean, pleasant, pretty and child friendly. The grounds of virtually all other Aruba hotels are nowhere near as user friendly (typically crowded with visiting tourists, cramped and not all that pretty or pleasant given the overcrowdedness.)
And, the breakfast restaurant is, without doubt, the best breakfast venue in all of Aruba. The staff are terrific. And the variety and quality of food is better than anything that you will get anywhere in the Carribean.
