The room we had was very comfortable with separate living room and private balcony. Lots of families and retirees there. Has the feeling of a time share. It is very close to the beach and was a quick walk across the parking lot to access. The staff was friendly and helpful. Is about a 15 minute cab ride form the airport and taxis are available if you need one to go to any other part of the island. I would return here.

The room was unbelievably moldy and musty. My sinuses burned and I became plugged up and spent my nights blowing my nose and coughing. It quickly morphed into a sinus infection. When we talked to the front desk, they said they would get maintenance on it. Well the only thing we noticed was a drop in the temperature of the room. Our little maid did her best to clean the room to keep it fresh, but it didn’t last long. They did bring in a de-humidifier the last 3 days of our stay and that helped a little. The bottom line is they should not have put any one in the room until it was ready.

Room tip: Don’t book through 3rd party agents, go through the resort. I think you get the poorest rooms.

We only spent 4 days here, then went to Riu Antellus for another 4 days. Staying at the Eagle Resort for only 4 days is not recommended. This place would be better for long term stays, since it is NOT all inclusive, you need to purchase food and beverages. The only grocery store is across the highway and extremely pricey. Uncle Tony's (on the premises) had great food and excellent service. The beach is a short walk from the resort and is beautiful. There are employees from Eagle Resort that will provide you with a lounger. The room itself was completely renovated and very spacious. In conclusion I would only return if staying for a month or longer. I prefer all inclusive resorts when only staying for a week.

First off this was our first trip to Aruba to celebrate a milestone Birthday. We were told about this resort through friends of ours. First mistake we made was booking through Booking.com. You have absolutely no recourse if you have issues with your stay and from what we had heard is that visitors that book through a 3rd party get some of the less desirable rooms. In our case this is what happened.

Our room…
We were escorted to our room 3560 facing the road which actually wasn’t a problem as far as noise. We walked into our room and were blasted with a VERY strong, mold and mildew smell. Now let me tell you, we have traveled the Caribbean and you sometimes expect a little mildew smell in some hotels but once the air conditioner is on it usually is eliminated very quickly. The person that escorted us to our room noticed no lamp shade on the lamp and quickly retrieved a lamp shade and left. We actually had two lamp shades that were missing and a missing light bulb over our dining room table which were were told it would would be replaced. It wasn’t. After the first few minutes into our stay we realized the room was filthy. Balls of hair. Food on the floor and stains on the chairs and sofa. I always bring disinfectant wipes and Lysol spray and started to clean. After a long trip to Aruba this is the last thing I wanted to do. We were exhausted and decided to go to the Super Mart for a few things to have in our room which is very convenient from this hotel. The following morning my husband woke up with a cough and I was congested from the Mold/mildew. Went down to the front desk and explained our situation and was told they would look into it. A few hours later after not hearing anything I went back to the front desk and was told our situation was pending and someone would be checking into it. After yet another hour or so I get a call from the front desk and they said our room was fine and they did not smell anything. I told them we couldn’t stay in that room and basically told me there was nothing they could do and they were booked. My Husband ended up with a sinus infection and missed out on a few days of Vacation because of it.

We had a very good experience with our house keeping (Chemameal) (sp) who was concerned of the smell and brought a dehumidifier to our room which we emptied at least three times a day. She was the only person that checked on our situation daily. Still the smell was not taken care of but did help somewhat.

Why any hotel in the Caribbean would install carpet in a room is beyond me. This carpet was damp and dirty and appears to be swept but not vacuumed. Kind of disgusting to say the least.

Our bed was comfortable and the shower was good.

Friends of ours that we’re staying at La Cabana across the street came over to check out our situation and could not believe the smell.

I hate to leave bad reviews and always try to find the good things to report on but in this case, think twice before you book here.

My husband and I recently stayed here while attending a destination wedding in Aruba. Overall the Eagle Aruba hotel offered good value, and a perfect location for our needs. The wedding party was staying at La Cabana, which is located in the adjacent property. It was a quick walk across the parking lot to get to La Cabana, and less than a 5 minute walk from Eagle Aruba to Eagle Beach (located just across the street from La Cabana). It was very easy walking to the beach -- the street you cross has crosswalks, and the area drivers are great about stopping to let pedestrians cross.

Eagle Aruba is not beachfront, which is probably why their rates are quite reasonable for the area. You can get a "sliver view" of the ocean from your hotel room, but mainly the views are of the resort's pools.

It's an older property, and it shows, though generally maintained quite well. We stayed in a 1-bedroom condo on the top floor. Elevator service was always prompt. Our unit was spacious and comfortable, with a nice kitchenette, dining table with seating for 4, a seating area with a sofa and chair and an outdoor balcony with 2 chairs and a table (along with the separate bedroom and bathroom). The unit was clean when we arrived, but housekeeping was sporadic during our stay (they didn't clean at all some days).

Eagle Aruba has 3 very nice pools (not heated from what we could tell). The middle pool is considered the "adult only" pool and was the center of occasional "entertainment" (party games, DJ, etc.). Mostly it was a place for folks to be in the water while enjoying their beverages... Family pools were located on either side of the adult pool -- one featuers a waterfall, the other a water slide (and there was a splash area for younger kids there too).

The outdoor area is nicely landscaped, I rather preferred its laid back family vibe to the "party vibe" over at La Cabana (which was definitely busier and more packed with people than Eagle Aruba was during our stay).

Other amenities at Eagle Aruba include an outdoor restaurant and bar called "Uncle Tony's Pizza". Ironically, the pizza there is just OK but the burgers they serve are GREAT. Highly recommend! There's also an indoor sports bar/restaurant which was good as well. In addition, near the entrance to the resort there's a small gift shop/convenience store and a Dunkin Donuts.

Despite being called "Eagle Aruba Resort & Casino", the casino is actually located in La Cabana's lobby -- to get there just walk across the parking lot.

This was our first visit to Aruba, and as expected the weather was sunny, warm, and windy. A pleasant surprise was how reasonable it was to dine at area restaurants -- we frequently visit islands in the Caribbean and are accustomed to high prices for eating out, but it was much more economical than expected here. Also, taxi fares to get from Eagle Beach to Palm Beach weren't bad at all ($8 for 2 people), and there's a bus that runs about every 20 minutes to the various tourist area for a fare of only about $3.
