Overall, the resort was very nice, the rooms were clean, the check-in was simple and quick. The resort staff were kind and friendly. However, it was really frustrating that you had to wake up at extreme hours in the morning (between 3-5am) to get a cabana on the beach. Also, poolside, people were hogging chairs there as well and they were not even at their chairs. Pool side, you had to reserve your chair by around 7-8am or it would be hard to get one. Most of the people that threw their towels on chairs at the pool and beach were not even at their chairs. This made me really not want to come back here because it was stressful to try and get a place so that you can relax.
There were also people in the hot tub posing as tourists who were selling timeshares and were nagging at people just trying to relax and have a few drinks. I have been to some other Caribbean locations where none of this was happening and for this reason, I don’t think I will return here.
The neighbouring hotel La Cabana had great programming, Eagle Resort did not have as much going on… with the exception of a few karaoke times and band times whereas La Cabana constantly had things for people like wine tasting, meat tasting, games by the pool, water aerobics, live bands, steel drum bands etc.

Overall, choose your stay resort wisely, we did have a good stay but the value for the money is definitely not there and if we could do it again we would go somewhere else. More
