Coming from a German heritage, if there is a good German restaurant nearby we will find it. Therefore visiting Bavaria was a no brainer and it did not disappoint. We started with the potato pancakes, which where light and tasty and a solid Weiss Bier. I had the Weiner Schnitzel, with others having the Kassler Ripchen, and the Jaeger Schnitzel. The spatzle were among the best I have ever had being light and fluffy. We ended our meal with a combo of vanilla ice cream with Rote Grutze. Service was warm and friendly. If you like German food, you won’t be disappointed.

We are on the final full day of our annual Aruba vacation and once again, Bavaria is our absolute favorite. We have dined there already five times this trip and plan to eat there again tonight.

Here's why: 1. The food is scrumptious! We highly recommend the sauerbraten, jagerschnitzel, potato pancakes and soft pretzels but we enjoyed many others. We are always too full to get dessert. 2. The service is warm, welcoming and prompt. Peter the owner is there every night and always makes sure to visit every guest to make sure they are satisfied. 3. The beer menu is extensive and Peter is happy to help you choose the one that best suits your taste and food. 4. The portions are very generous, prices are reasonable and dress is casual. If you haven't dined there yet you are missing out!

One suggestion: Although it is a short walk from the high-rise hotels, I recommend that you either drive or take a taxi because crossing the intersection between Wendy's and Bavaria is dauntingly busy. We always walk from the Hilton but are very careful crossing here since cars don't stop for pedestrians and the traffic lights don't tell you how many seconds you have to cross. However you get there, i am sure you will agree it was a great decision to dine there!

We spend a few weeks in Aruba each winter and always dine at Bavaria several times during our stay. We are a large party - generally 14plus persons. Finding a table to accommodate all of us can be a difficulty - finding a table, great food & amazing service is even more challenging. Bavaria is incredible! The beer list is enormous - all of our favorite German beers. The Cheese soup & Potato soup are my personal favorite. The entrees are enormous - hard to pick favorite - but Sauerbraten is probably mine. Jaegerschnitzel with mushroom sauce is award winning. This place is a great time. If you visit Aruba and don't miss Bavaria Restaurant. Like Oktoberfest on the island!

With so many wonderful restaurants on the Island we wanted something other than seafood etc. and decided on ethnic.
We were disappointed in this German restaurant.
It was next to a Kentucky Fried Chicken,
a Wendy’s and a laundromat.
We took a taxi there so didn’t know in advance of its location.
We got there around 6:30 and only one other table was taken. A few more people came in a soon after.
We had four people waiting on us and they were not in sync. We had to wait a long time for our drinks, meal, and condiments.
There is only one veal dish on the menu which I ordered. Wiener schnitzel.
Two deeply fried and dried out pieces of veal with spaetzle which was too oniony and buttery. That was it.
My husband ordered a combination of sausage and bratwurst. Overcooked. It came with mashed potatoes. He ordered a side of red cabbage which was very sweet- unlike any in other German restaurants.
Even one of the waitresses said she doesn’t make it that way. They put honey in it for flavor.
A couple of our servers were dressed sloppy and one had stains on her jersey.
A definite miss.
If you want good German I would recommend Chalet Suisse.

Dear coollilygirl19, Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you where disappointed that we are located between KFC and Wendy's and not at a prime location at the beach. You decided to go ethnic, You got it ! We are an authentic German restaurant with tasty comfort food as mother cook at home. Our service is warm and friendly and the atmosphere is casual. Yes, our red cabbage is sweet. I explained it to your husband that we cook it with honey and cinnamon. That is a version popular in the south of Germany (Bavaria) Our guests love it ! Yes, our only veal dish is Wiener Schnitzel. You get 2 tender and juicy pieces of breaded and pan fried veal with our daily made fresh spaetzle. The spaetzle are pan fried with a little butter and chopped onion to give it a nice flavor. This is another dish where our guests rave about ! I am sorry that you came to us with wrong expectations - we are no fine dining place and we don't serve lamb chops. For this you better go to Chalet Suisse. A nice upscale restaurant with good food, but for certain not German !

Good food. Very close to high rise hotels so if you don't have a car you can walk there. If you enjoy German food this is the place for you.
