Our family of 4 stayed at The Sandpiper guest apartments on our Bermuda vacation. We have two kids (ages 8 and 6). The room was spacious and comfy for our family. We had a one bedroom unit. There's was a king bed in the bedroom and two futons in the living room that both folded flat for the kids beds. Fresh linens were supplied for the futons and made up each day.
The kitchen was equipped with all the need to eat all meals in the room (if necessary, we ate breakfast and made lunches for the beach in the room).
The bathroom could use some updating. The shower has very low and poor water pressure. I had trouble time rinsing the soap out of my mid-length hair and my daughter's long, think hair was near impossible to wash.
We always had fresh towels and washcloths. Housekeeping was prompt.
The location is prime - right on South Rd., on the main bus line, just minutes from the beautiful beaches and maybe a 15minute ride to Hamilton.
There is a pool on the property. It's not very big, but never was crowded! Our kids felt like royally as if they had their very own pool! Very clean!
One problem we did have, a new restaurant opened right next door to the apartments. Over the weekend, they had karaoke and the noise level was unbearable....until 2:30am.
We have notified the management but they are not onside overnight so it has not been witnessed by them.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at The Sandpiper and would probably stay there again.

We chose to stay at the Sandpiper first for it's affordability then it's location.

We stayed in a studio apartment with our 2 young children. It's was plenty of room for us.
Everything was clean and in good working condition.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to be able to cook and eat there.

We brought most of our food in a cooler in one of our checked luggage. We were able to save quite a bit that way.

The a/c was working very well.

The pool was a great thing to have too. It was clean and kids had a blast!

The grounds were kept very nice (nice fragrant flowers from the beautiful frangipane tree).

Location is great.

5 minutes walk to beautiful beaches with barely anyone there.
Right by the bus stop.
Gas station close by with some basics you might need.
The swizzle inn near by to get a drink or a bite to eat.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had to make last minute changes on our arrival date and they had no problem accommodating us.

I would recommend the sandpiper for anyone on a budget who wants to stay away from the crowd.

The place is cheap comparing it versus other close hotels, despite that everything was clean, the room in which I stayed it looks very old and unsecure. The location is OK since it's in the front of the avenue where you can catch the bus towards several places in the island.

We stayed here from May 13th to 20 to attend our daughters wedding which was at the Reefs on May 17. With family and friends, we renetd 8 units and were given a 15% discount. The Sandpiper is on the bus route and with in walking distance to the great beaches in Bermuda and centrally located to get to Dockside in Southhampton or Hamilton. About a $40.00 ride from the Airport. The units are all very well equipt and cleaned daily. The is a gas fired BBQ for use. THe staff is very helpful and took care of all our needs. Will stay here again when unable to stay with family in Bermuda.

Have been to Bermuda many times and have stayed in various accommodations over the years.Bermuda hotels are very expensive, so an appealing alternative is the Sandpiper apartments. Our accommodation was situated at the back of the building on the second floor. Clean, quiet and comfortable for two people. Maid service provided. Shopped for groceries on the way from the airport. Cab drivers are very friendly and will wait for you, whilst you stock up. Swizzle Inn is very conveniently situated. You can eat there or do take out. Prices are very reasonable, as far as Bermuda goes. Bus stop close by. Short walk to beach, which is beautiful, and very un crowded (we were the only people, most of the time). Have only good things to say about Sandpiper. Reasonable prices, convenient location, self catering, friendly people.

Room Tip: Second floor, at the back. Quiet
