I've stayed here a few times on business, and sadly the standards are now starting to slip.

The amenities and gardens are less well tended, the nice touches like fruit in the room etc seem to have disappeared, and the overall quality of service is also not as good as it used to be.

One thing that hasn't gone down is the price - this is not a cheap place to stay. The staff are also as friendly as ever.

Another INEXCUSABLE failing is their beachfront restaurant (Mickey's) using a microwave to heat up some of the dishes. A lot of restaurants do this, I know, but not ones that charge over $100 per head. I understand Mickey's is not actually owned or run by the hotel, but notwithstanding it reflects badly on their reputation and brand.

When you're charging these sorts of prices, all of the above should right. Very disappointing.

We came on a business/ friends trip. For my wife and I it was our first trip to Bermuda and this place made it memorable. The staff is fantastic- always friendly and willing to help out in any way. The on-site restaurant is superb, and to top it all off is the pink sand beach.

This is one of several beaches in Bermuda and we liked it the best because it was not very crowded and fairly easy to get to. Like most of the beaches along the coast it offers crystal blue waters and a slightly pink hue sand. One of the reasons this beach is not so crowded is probably due to the mild walk you have to do to get there. There are several entrances to the beach from the hotels in the area, however if you take the Pink Bus from downtown Hamilton, the bus drops you about 1/4 mile away. Its a bit of a walk but an easy walk and honestly, good exercise. The beach is clean and safe and we spent two days there. Bring your towels, bottled water, and food for a picnic.

We recently spent a week at Elbow beach. I was a great week. The beach is great, the pool is very nice, the fitness center is above average for a hotel gym, and it is very close to a great running trail.

The beach was a little distance from the bus stop and down a path. Clear waters and space to roam. Bring your towels and snacks for a picnic. It wasn't crowded at all, we spent plenty of time there. When we were leaving there were taxies available but we walked back to the bus stop. Another enjoyable family outing.
