We stayed at Villa Herencia for four nights of our week-long vacation in Puerto Rico, and we loved it. It is well situated for walking around Old San Juan, the hotel is a lovely example of Spanish Colonial Architecture, cozy and charming. Beautiful rooftop patio, comfortable beds, a nice breakfast and friendly, accommodating staff round off a perfect city experience. Special thanks to Chris, who was always ready to help with any request, friendly conversation and recommendations for meals and activities.

We stayed here for one night with another couple, on our way to a villa near the rain forest. Upon arrival we immediately said we wished we had planned to stay longer! The hotel is lovely, over 300 years old with period pieces but updated with very comfortable beds, linens and bath. Very comfortable and romantic. Management (Chris) was very helpful and gave us an insight into the history of the hotel. The lobby had the soothing sounds of a waterfall feature. Located in the oldest part of the city and in a safe area, close to everything. it rained during our stay so we could not use the terrace, but we certainly will be back!! definitely recommend.

Room Tip: we had room 5, downstairs, our friends had 7 I think. ours was a bit smaller but very comfortable!

We stayed here 2 days prior to our cruise. It was the perfect location to walk to everything in Old San Juan. The rooms are small but cozy and has everything you need. The staff was very attentive and gave great suggestions for places to eat and see while we were there. I would stay there again anytime.

A small and cozy hotel perfectly situated in Old Town San Juan. Very nice rooms with high ceilings, all individually styled with old furniture. A very comfortable rooftop terrace with chairs, tables and sunbeds where one can relax in the sun. Very serviceminded staff that will help you with restaurant recommendations and tickets to various attractions. Complimentary breakfast and free wi-fi.

Loved this place!! It was so unique and perfect for us. Our room was gorgeous, high ceilings, very clean and comfortable, very nice decor by local artists I think. It felt old world but had nice modern touches. We didn't have a window because of how the buildings are build in Old San Juan but we didn't miss it all all. The nice lady who checked us in was so helpful and a answered all our questions, Very knowledgeable about the area and businesses there also. They served a nice light breakfast. All room are on the 1st floor except for two which are on the rooftop terrace. Everyone is able to use the terrace and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Very relaxing up there with the flowers, potted plants, hammock, lounges, tables, chairs and claw foot bathtubs. I had to soak in one of the large claw foot tubs on the terrace one evening. I've never seen them in a hotel or guest house before. We will most definitely stay here again.
