“San Juan's best guest house”
Reviewed 12 March 2012

what a delightful visit we had at Tres Palmas! It was our first time in Puerto Rico and after we arrived at the airport we took a short drive to the guest house. We were greeted with the utmost hospitality. The environment
met all our expectations. We had a fabulous view of the beach and we were very close to Old San Juan. Our
room was beautifully appointed. In the morning we enjoyed a buffet breakfast outside on the terrace. Everyone
associated with the guest house was so friendly and extremely helpful. One perk that I loved was being able to
use the available computer and printer.

Room Tip: Every room is private and there is parking out front

I stayed at Tres Palmas the last week of February into March. The hotel was pretty easy to get to from the airport.Just be careful driving because people in San Juan drive crazy. People do not stop and they pull out in front of you all the time. We arrived on a Sunday and there was no where to park so if you are there on a weekend, you probably wont have a parking spot during the day. At night it is fine. We stayed in Room 18 which is oceanfront. The room was plenty big. The AC really works. The beach is across the street but it VERY sea weedy. The beach down the street is a little better. The breakfast in the morning is okay. We just bought our own waffles and stuff to eat because I didnt eat much of what they served. The hotel has beach chairs, coolers and other stuff you can use which is great. The staff is friendly. My boyfriend and I had a great time. There is so much to see in Puerto Rico and I wish we had more time to do everything. 7 days is not enough! I would stay here again.

Room Tip: You can't really go wrong with any room. They have many different sized rooms so I would make su...

This hotel is not big, probably 30 rooms. It is not fancy, no onsite restaurants. It is clean. It has a killer deck with two hot tubs to view the sunset. It has an extraordinary view of the beach from the breakfast porch. We could view Kite boarders and wind surfers from the outside breakfast porch. When we arrived Marlene checked us in and made us feel at home. A complimentary drink came with check in. Edwin, the owner, was around to talk to and get pointer on where to go and what to do. We borrowed their bicycles and rode to old town, nice ride.

Will stay there again when we return to San Juan.

I stayed one night here with my two small children. We had to get on the plane the next morning to go back. The Inn is DELIGHTFUL!!! Clean, beautiful, well-appointed, wonderful breakfast, 2 rooftop hot tubs overlooking the ocean, and a small pool that was a perfect little dip! No complaints. Not one. See my pics for details

Room Tip: all the rooms are great, but personally, with the road separating the Inn from the ocean and the low...

The staff at this inn were very accommodating and helpful. The inn is quite nice and is located right on the Caribbean! It was fun to wake up, grab some light breakfast items and sit on the patio watching the ocean waves. A very popular beach is located just up the street. Please note that is a long walk to get to the city, so taking a cab, the bus (no regular schedule) or biking are your best options for reaching Old San Juan.
