Nice, cozy, comfortable and clean. Andries and his staff found alternate transportation back to St Maarten last week after Winair cancelled my flight. Can't thank them enough for all the help they gave. A must stay. I'll be back next time when staying at Saba.

We had a wonderful four day stay at El Momo Cottages. The cottages are perched high up on the island with stunning views of the Caribbean and Mt Scenery. They are picturesque little cottages with good wi-fi and the bathrooms are nearby. Andreis and Eva are wonderful hosts and take pride in their establishment. Everything at El Momo is very clean. The Windward side village is a short ten minute walk and has bars, restaurants, and other shops. If you are looking for a quiet, laid back get away I would highly reccomend El Momo on Saba island.

If you like camping but would like just a few more ameneties, then El Momo is for you. Andreis & his wife are affable laid back folks. The pool was nicely maintained & the overlook hangout is perfect for chilling with your squad or chatting with world travellers.

We had the most relaxing and delightful week imaginable in Sunshine Cottage, perched high above the Caribbean Sea with stunning views of Mount Scenery and surrounding peaks and valleys in morning sun and golden sunsets. Hosts Andries and Eva were so warm and generous and our fellow guests made a happy little community. We had delicious breakfasts in the open air dining area, walked down to Windwardside for wonderful meals, hiked up and down all over the island, and cooled off in the blue swimming pool. The simple, tidy, and homey style of El Momo suited us perfectly: no stress, plenty of privacy as well as companionship when we wanted it, and good advice about exploring the island. The beauty of the setting and the friendliness of the people--which mirrors the feeling of Saba itself--makes us yearn to return to Sunshine Cottage again. Of all the places we've stayed in the islands, El Momo is our absolute favorite.

Room Tip: If you want to experience nature on your doorstep in plenty of comfort then it's for you.

Stayed in the highest cottage which had remarkable views over the sea. The view changed continuously with the weather and the time of day. The cottage itself is approached from the road by about 100 plus steps. About 60 of these back down to the honour bar and pool. The cottage consisted of a decent sized bedroom with mosquito net and a large comfortable bed. A small rail to hang clothes on and a few shelves. All rustic but quite nice. The little outside dining area had wonderful views particularly at night. The kitchen area was very basic. It just about had everything needed but all rather in need of a refurb.
A proper work surface and a few decent pans, plates etc would have made a massive difference and wouldn't cost much. Several grubby, greasy frying pans, and odd bits of cutlery. I gave everything a good wash before using them.
There was a nice sitting area just below the cottage down a couple of steps with 2 sun loungers and a hammock, and the same stunning views.
The outside shower room was functional, with hot water and a soap dispenser but needed a good clean as did the outside washbasin. The toilet which was supposed to be a composting type was extremely smelly. I've used various versions of these all over the world. Often you have to put soil down them, but this was not very pleasant.
Overall a nice quirky place to stay but a fair amount of tlc needed. A lot of general maintenance required
Pool nice after a long walk, again with lovely views.
Owners helpful and pleasant.
Don't expect a hotel, they're cabins with a view and plenty of wildlife.
