Used to be a favorite. Food now average at best. Ordered salad and pizza. Didn't eat salad because produce looked and tasted disgusting. Pizza ok after brought to villa and cooked more.

Before making our latest trip to Barts, I tried to research the latest gluten free options, as I have a severe allergy. I spoke with the concierge at our hotel, and was told there was no GF pizza anywhere. Wrong! We called the Hideaway, and they did! Just terrific, super thin, great toppings. Go! Tony, the manager, gets it, and the restaurant is charming and a good value.

We went last night. The staff made the evening. It was pretty dead but they were lively and were the life of the party. They really appear to love their jobs. Our server Mary was a total hoot!

The food didn't knock our socks off but it was pretty darn good for the price. This is our second time there and we will definitely be back.

We split the dinner salad and shared a 4 fromage pizza and Nutella chocolate cake for dessert. Affordable, flavorful and very fun. Recommended!

As always, our reviews are solely based on our particular likes, tastes, experiences and expectations; never intended to persuade/dissuade anyone from patronizing a business.
This was our fifth time eating here; we've been to St. Barth twice.....that's a pretty good indicator, right?
A nicely decorated but not fancy over-the-top type restaurant, the Hideaway is just like the name indicates; it's nestled in a small shopping area but trees/shrubs/flowers adorn the front entrance making it somewhat obscure but very quaint.
The servers, even the cooks and greeters have always been friendly, kind and attentive to our every need; high marks on that end.
They have pizza, very good by the way and a menu that will surely satisfy even the more fussy of diners; meat, fish, poultry and other french dishes.
We only stopped one time on this trip and that was for lunch. We both had their special, fish tacos; they came with homemade (?) fries. The tacos were delicious and the portion was good - delicious sauce. The fries were good also. Those along with a beer/coke ran us about 32Euro, around 40USD which, if you've been to St. Barth's before, is about average for the area.
Overall, taking into consideration the setting, cleanliness, service, menu selection, price and satisfaction......we give The Hideaway a strong (B). Would we recommend, yes. Return (?).....absolutely.

We found this place while searching the internet and it was located right in the middle of everything in St. Barts. We picked a rainy day to try out some local cuisine for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by this place. It is every unassuming walking in, particularly since the patio area was quite lively, but we were promptly seated. We did not order and appetizer, but went straight to our entrees. I ordered the burger with fries and loved both. My husband had the chevre chaud salad and he loved it, which is usually not his idea of a good meal. For dessert, I had a caramel sundae (which was huge) and my husband had the creme broulee, which were both AMAZING! The staff were extremely friendly and very fun. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend this for small groups looking for a good time.
