Beautiful big compound, with quite a long walk from hotel lobby to the room.

The room is big, beautiful and comfortable, with free wifi and complimentary drinks and chips in the mini bar in the room

All inclusive for breakfast, lunch and dinner in various restaurants. The food served in the all day dinning buffet restaurant, Gourmet Marché is nice and many varieties. The food in Italian restaurant is also delicious.

we arrived at this hotel it had been opened about 2 weeks beforehand it looked amazing was taken to our room it was good over the 2 weeks we were there my wife suffers from asthma and started to get a bad cough after about 8 days we noticed the mould on the ceiling above the fan, trying to get a drink was an experience constantly running out of bottled water, run out of clean glasses, beer certain spirits no mint no lemons, food in buffet Luke warm unless freshly cooked, blood smeared on a lift door told the staff and the repTrish so they could clean it was still there 4 days later the staff in the buffet were not very good ordered a drink had to wait so long then asked another staff member for a drink then 3 other staff members as they had all disappeared overall could be a great hotel but staff need more training they need to keep in stock a lot more glasses and bottled water complained to Thomson when we got back they are not interested and fob me off all the time

My husband and I were sold an amazing honeymoon from Thomson/TUI last year, this hotel was not even finished or even open when we booked. The agents basically sold us a dream. We booked a room in the Hideaway at the Royalton which we were told it was a separate hotel but could use the facilities in the Royalton, when we got there it was not separate at all. We upgraded to have a "personal butler" (you are not made aware that your butler is also the butler for many other couples so may not always be available upon request).
Upon arrival of the hotel, we were not dropped off at the correct place so had to be transported to the hideaway side, there was no butler or concierge to help us check in so a young lady from marketing and guest services showed us to our room.
We did not see out butler until nearly two days after arriving, when we did we were given a phone to make contact with them. The phone was not available at the start as they had run out of phones!! So two days in no phone and no butler. Once this issued was sorted out we started noticing that the hotel was not built to standard of a 5 star, the workman ship was terrible. The building had cracked payments, the floor lighting is out so you cant see at night very well, the plaster off the side of the buildings were falling off, toilet doors were broken. We were given a better room for our second week which was the presidential suite, even that had issues with broken toilet doors (which I might add are made from heavy glass and falling from hinges).

One day we were in the sea when a horrendous smell came about and we noticed that the sea became full of waste (from the hotel pipes I think) it was like fat, nasty, smelling fatburg. The hotel said it may have been a burst pipe. There is no drainage so when it rains everything becomes flooded and the floors are constantly wet and slippery. Workman were hanging with a small piece of rope from the top of the buildings trying to repair/replace the lights. This is not what you want to see when you are relaxing on the beach/pool area.

The Thomson rep was not really available to help, they were only interested in selling you the very expensive tours.

On the positive side the food was lovely, the steak house and seafood grill were amazing. The staff were friendly enough and helpful as much as possible. And our butlers Denver and Kaela were spectacular :).

The weather was lovely and hot so that was great and it was nice to relax with my new husband.
I think once they have this issues sorted out and the hotel has potential to be a 5 star but right now I would rate it as a 3star.

This hotel is huge and has the wow factor with almost everything, Our room was lovely with the whirlpool bath and was bright breezy and comfortable, you could order room service to your room and was delivered within the hour piping hot ! only disappointing things about the room was the damp that you could see coming through the ceiling and the damp smell, obviously coming from the whirlpool baths that you cant help spilling when you slide in. I would also suggest you make use of the safe and keep an eye on your belongings, we had a few things disappear!
The main buffet restaurant had a huge selection of different foods all looking delicious, the chefs will cook you food how you want it most of the time, only disappointing thing I found was being told sorry I'm going home when I asked a chef for a stir fry at 7.45pm, i was also told they had no tomatoes because they were out of season ?? not what you want to hear at a 5 star resort!
The other restaurants were awesome and the staff couldn't do enough for you.
The bars were all full of friendly happy staff who couldn't do enough for you and seemed genuinely embarrassed when they had to tell you that you couldn't have a drink because they had no glasses or they had ran out of beer or other alcohol, again not what i expect from a 5 star.
The beach was just stunning and i took great delight in feeding the fish with a slice of bread, just like being in your own aquarium.
make sure you visit the sports bar, chrissie and Tania are brilliant bar maids, and you can get a nice steak wrap up there.
entertainment was good, the activity team especially Edwina is a star !
would i go back ? i would love to, but i will wait and see if they sort the few niggles out that seem to cause issues.

Room Tip: try get a high room you woont have the damp !
