We keep returning to Windjammer Landing. It is a lovely location and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The beach is not overcrowded. The beach is on a protected area of water so if looking for surf you won’t see much there. The restaurants are good with a wide selection of food for all family members, including our picky teen; reservations are needed but have never been a problem. The resort is a fairly short taxi ride from Castries, the capital of St Lucia. There are always cruise ships docked in the harbor and there is an excellent local market as well as duty-free shopping. The resort does have two small stores for clothing and gifts as well as a minimart. Being on the all inclusive plan we had minimal need for the minimart. Will return again next year. If first visit, be prepared for a long ride from the international airport at the opposite end is the island. It is a good way to see much of the island.

We were 8 people looking for warm anywhere during the 2017 frigid New York Christmas and found heaven at Windjammer in St. Lucia. This is an all inclusive resort and our villa offered the most spectacular 180° view in the Windward Islands. The villa was spacious and beyond luxury comfortable with full kitchen, living room, library, spacious bedrooms with their own bathroom, swimming pool, and full yard. The beautiful campus is filled with tropical flora and maintained impeccably. You'll be using the shuttle services a lot from your villa as the inclines are very steep. It rains briefly everyday to generate more rainbows that you thought you'd see in a lifetime.
Their beach is great with plenty of room and bars that keep the drinks flowing. DO NOT swim out of marked bounds as you'll encounter sharp rock and sea urchins that sting.

The food at the resort is adequate but limited and nothing special. We hit a couple of off resort restaurants that were excellent and a 20 minute cab ride away. The gym and spa are first rate. The tennis courts are terrible and hardly maintained at all. We rented boats for excursions including hikes and an ATV tour. You should pass on the over crowded water fall and mud bath.

Esie was amazing at the front desk and made us feel very much at home. A welcoming, warm soul.

We can not get back fast enough!

This was our 2nd visit and to be fair we enjoyed our stay. Beach lovely you never struggle to get beds the facilities including pool all very good.

A few disappointments teens are no longer catered for or children over 12 (too old for kids club) previously there was a teen room off the beach with Table Football in But this has now gone. The entertainment side was minimal to say it was a busy week with guests. (For kids)

We went on the all inclusive package and on NYE we were presented with a surcharge bill for the meal. We refused to pay as we had already paid on our booking.

Did feel sometimes the staff knew if your were on the all inclusive package as the drinks service was sometimes very poor in the Restaurants.

We booked Papa Dons one night from reception to arrive and be told they didn’t have a booking for us. The waitress made us feel awkward the whole meal saying they were busy and she really couldn’t let us in. It took 90mins to have the meal even though we scrapped starters so she could have the table back. Only 3 tables occupied on arrival. When we left at 8.00 she still had 8 tables empty. Didn’t go back again during our holiday as the whole feeling in the place felt awkward.

We stayed in an hibiscus apartment (2 joined together via an interconnecting door) which was great. The hot tub was fab and brilliantly cleaned as was the apartment. The bed was very creaky!

The beach was fabulous although slightly smaller than I expected. Never a problem getting a bed though. Always perfectly clean and beautiful every morning.

Pools were well kept and very clean. Lovely to swim in.

The water sports were better than expected. Water skiing was amazing and the staff are excellent.

Food was always nice and plentiful. The eggs at breakfast were the best by a lovely lady who sang beautifully.

Kids club was great. Our kids went one morning and loved it. Wished we sent them earlier on in our stay!

Niggles

We pre arranged our dinner bookings before we arrived to save having to think whilst away which was agreed with windjammer. On 2 of the nights the restaurants we had booked were closed and on a third evening the kitchen broke! We were lucky to get squeezed in to another restaurant on 3 nights as it was quite busy. This was disappointing!

Also with six of us having all inclusive drinks all day it made for a lot of plastic cups and straws left lying around. We found ourselves continually picking up plastic from the beach. There was no rubbish collection during the day at all. We tried to order drinks with no straws but it was impossible and gave up in the end. I dread to think how much plastic makes it way into the sea!

Cash. You need to take cash with you. You can only get $50 a day from reception with a 10% charge. Or you can take a 15 minute taxi to the ATM. If you go on excursions some require cash so this needs bearing in mind. Also cash is needed for the little stalls on the beach.

All in all a fantastic holiday. Thank you windjammer.

If we could change one thing it would be to collect rubbish throughout the day to save the fish and your wonderful environment.

We watched the head chef come down to the landing, buy an enormous grey snapper from two local fisherman who had caught the fish very early in the morning and then he served perfectly cooked catch of the day in lemon and thyme butter, in the resorts restaurants; simply wonderful. We played tennis every morning and there is a good range of water sports, some fun aquaerobics and a lovely spa. A new resort manager is making excellent improvements and all in all we had a wonderful holiday.
