Perfect location, perfect vibe, incredible views on what felt like a private beach! Michael was amazing providing recommendations throughout our week stay for restaurants, beaches and bars. We loved out little beachfront patio where we would spend time sipping coffee, mimosas or grilling dinner! Truly the BEST boutique hotel we have ever stayed at!!!!

We had an excellent stay at the Azure. Our room was clean, nicely thought out and functional. Our hosts, Mike and Fawnette were friendly and made us feel like family. It was an awesome stay. Excellent beach and BBC facilities! Close to all amenities.

The Azure sits at the end of a small street in a residential area just adjacent to Princess Juliana Airport. When you arrive, the street abruptly ends right at the beach and you are greeted with a postcard view of palm trees, clear/blue/teal water and a sea breeze. I knew when I saw that, this was going to be a great trip.
I stayed in the Saba suite for 4 nights and it was an amazing stay. The room is right on the beach, literally. Walking out on the patio puts you just 4-5 steps from the sand. The room was clean and was much more like an apartment than a hotel room which makes it seem very homey. Michael was extremely nice and accommodating, offering suggestions on restaurants and menu selections. Azure is a one in a million place that hits all the highs for someone looking for a super relaxing and serene trip. You roll your own here, so there isn’t the high end amenities of the all-inclusives but that’s not why you stay here. This is for the traveler which is wanting to get away and go off the grid (they do have free WiFi and International Calling).
All in all the stay was epic. I will return in the future and hopefully the not so distant future.

Not much I can add to past reviews. Its somewhat like staying at your best friend's place! Mike, the owner went beyond expectations (although they were set high already based on previous reviews) with all the help we got regarding places to visit on the island. He set up an excursion and a rental car for us and both were excellent! I must add St. Maarten is home to many very nice beaches. We have stayed at many grades of resorts throughout the Caribbean but found the room we had at this resort was huge and well-appointed! We stayed in the Tropical Suite by the courtyard. None of the rooms are more than a 5 second walk from the beach. Speaking of the beach, it is beautiful! One night waves had driven some seaweed up onto the beach. While this is quite normal in this part of the world when winds pick up, Mike had them raked, picked up and disposed of very quickly. The water is very warm and when calm, quite clear. Dining was simple as suggestions of where to go for what, were dead on. We frequented The Atlantico Café almost daily for breakfast. 5 minute walk from the resort. Excellent staff and service! Karakters restaurant on the beach, another favorite, with live music and a varied and reasonably priced menu. We found the service and general demeanor of the people on the whole island to be very friendly and accommodating making this destination a definite return option. Our extreme thanks go out to Mike and Fawnette for their incredible hospitality!!!! We hope to visit them again in the not to distant future! If you want a comfortable, friendly, well-priced on-the-beach resort, you will not be disappointed with The Azure!!!!!!!!

Room tip: From what we saw, any room is good. There are beach-front available. Personal preference

A great place, in a great location. Short walk to the store, and a short walk for food. The beach is amazing. A few rocks in front, but nothing that can get in your way of a beautiful swim. Very relaxing patio. Our room ( beach room) was perfect for two. 5 steps and your in the sand. A wifi connection, and a very comfortable bed.
Thank you, you 3! We will return.

Thanks for taking the time to write your lovely review! The few rocks are sometimes exposed, we have a sign to warn visitors when the swell takes the sand that covers them. After years of tinkering we pride ourselves on having a great wifi service in all the rooms and the beach. Thanks so much for staying at the Azure, hope to see you again soon!
