“A really wrecked wreck”

Reviewed 17 August 2014

I dived the 375' wreck of the Balboa in August 2014 as a second dive on a two-tank dive with Don Foster's diving co.

This is a really wrecked wreck. You can hardly make out the bow or the stern. You will find the screw/propeller quite easily. The remains are covered with sealife, and there is a shallow reef nearby.

The wreck lies in the main transfer channel between visiting cruise ships and the Georgetown Dock. So it can only be visited on days when there are no visiting cruise ships.

Grand Cayman allegedly has 365 dive sites. They are all excellent - this one is very good too. If my review has helped, please give me a "Helpful" vote - thank you.
