We had dinner at Alfresco's in West Bay. Three out of four of us had the Potato Crusted Grouper. It was excellent. It's their signature dish, and I can understand why. We had been there some years before, and the one thing I remembered was that the meals came out very hot. However, last night, everything was lukewarm. It was still delicious, but not as hot as I had hoped. I will remember to ask next time to make sure it's hot.

Good Caribbean restaurant, right by the sea. The food is good but a bit pricey and the service friendly (even though a bit slow at times). Bring mosquito repellent since they eat you alive there (but this is almost everywhere on the island on waterfronts)

The beachfront seating available here is a great place to be in late afternoon, especially if you can time it for a sunset dining experience. Seating is not up to what you would get at a fancy beachfront hotel facility, but acceptable. In our experience the food was only average and a bit disappointing as our first restaurant experience on Grand Cayman. We had a conch appetizer that seemed more like salsa from a jar with a small amount of conch meat added, with that flavor completely lost in the sauce. We had two lobster-and-sauce dishes in which the sauces were acceptable but rather dull, without much lobster meat. Maybe there are outstanding dishes here but apparently we missed them. Overall, however, I wouldn't advise against it and will say it's worth a try. Considering the prevailing restaurant prices on Cayman (i.e., shockingly high), this place is moderate in price.

Beautiful location (right on the beach) Small; and only 4 inside tables, about 15 outside tables. Recommended by a local, but he warned us about the slow service. We found the service to be acceptable, except after we finished eating we waited at least 30 mins for the check to arrive. Food was pretty good (had Chicken Marsala and Fish and Chips). Be aware that the local lizards are underfoot and waiting to be fed. We enjoyed watching them, but one young lady eating there was completely freaked out and let out a few screams when the lizards got near her. I fed a few by hand (French fries) until one bit me and drew blood!
